Enough with the bad news, for at least a few hours.

Today, you are allowed to walk around work with a smile on your face. Today, you can wear your WSU garb to work, and your coworkers will actually understand why you're proud to be a Coug.

Because today -- today, my friends -- is the day that college basketball season begins at Washington State University.

Enough with the historical losing. Enough with the embarrassment. At 5 p.m. PDT, with the business-like atmosphere we've come to expect from Tony Bennett, the Cougar basketball team officially opens practice.

With it, comes hope. With it, comes the promise of something better.
