Abdul Gaddy Commits to the University of Washington

The #2 Point Guard (and #9 overall player according to Scout.com) in the Class of 2009 out of Bellarmine Prep just commited to the University of Washington. Obviously, this is not great new for Cougars fans, because Gaddy is a pretty tremendous talent. I caught one of his games last year at the state tournament in Tacoma, and the kid is for real.
UW is putting together a nice little backcourt.

Not surprising
… and a good get for Lorenzo Romar, who if nothing else does a good job of keeping local products at home (although he did initially lose Gaddy to U of A).
I hope this kid has some serious NBA dreams. One and done, please.
I should say "some" of the local talent
He has let a few good Seattle-area players slip away in the past few years. But everyone recruits the NW so hard that you can’t really blame him.

Two and something that rhymes with two
According to Gaddy’s Father he’s young enough that he’ll have to stay a second year.
