Oregon is going to be a work in progress. But the Ducks probably didn't think they would be rebuilding through losses at home. The Ducks fell to Oakland (Mich.) and Johnathon Jones' 32 points Monday night. The more I see the Pac-10 results the more I'm convinced Washington State will finish no lower than fourth and make the NCAA tournament. The Cougars will win enough games in the league to warrant a bid.

Apparently I don't know how to link the quote!
Not sure what I did wrong, but it’s from Andy Katz on his ESPN blog.

The more I see the Pac-10?
Seriously, Pac-10 teams have played what, like 12 games between the 10 teams? I mean, I’m happy he likes us and all, but at what point do people learn to just relax and wait to see how things shake out over the first month?

The thing with Andy Katz
is that I believe he actually watches most of the Pac 10 games. He’s always been dead-on as far as I can remember. Though obviously it is waaaay early to jump to conclusions.
I guess I’m viewing this as more of an amended preseason prediction. Especially since quite a few teams are counting on freshmen to step up (UW, WSU, USC and Oregon at least), and now at least we’ve seen them play in a few exhibitions and games.
