People getting excited, vol. 2

1122081524-1_medium

Such was the view from my seat, which was located in the east end zone. I was surrounded by purple the entire game, and had to watch some moron in a head-to-toe snowmobiling suit lead the section in -- I am not making this up -- a "That's another ... HUSKY FIRST DOWN!" cheer. I appreciated my brother's Husky brother-in-law, who said, "That is not my boy. Not that guy. I am not behind that at all."

But in a way, being a Cougar in the Husky section made it that much more sweet.

I'll have some actual analysis of the game tonight (I think), but for now, I'm still just enjoying it.

Go Cougs.

Ok, how about some bball talk.

Honestly, I hate to be a debbie downer, but it was fun seeing a win over UW, but my joy lasted about a day and half. This win has created some hope when there was absolutely none at all, but I am ready to move on to bigger and better things with some bball analysis.
Got some big games coming up and excited to see some numbers. So c’mon Nuss let’s get with it.

The hoops posts have been outnumbering the football posts 4-to-1 lately

We’ll get back to that, all in due time. Especially with a game tomorrow night. But I gotta be honest — without having seen the team, I’ve about run out of stuff to say until after the next game tomorrow. I absolutely cannot WAIT to see the team in person this weekend on TV.

I’m so fricken happy you guys beat the Huskies. I think I cared more about this game than any other game this last weekend. :-)

why thank you

we are quite happy as well. I wish I could say I’ll return the favor for you guys this week, but I sort of want OSU to win so that the Pac 10 will get two BCS bids (assuming USC wins out as they should).

7 in a row, baby!

I second that

Besides, we have kind of a weird kinship with OSU as the traditionally more downtrodden institution in our state. Go Beavs!

They don’t like being called that. Hehe.

Nah. It’s cool. OSU has an awesome team this year, and they deserve it. If I weren’t a duck, I’d be rooting for OSU as well.
If OSU wins, it’s going to make the bowl selection pretty fricken crazy. If Oregon wins, the whole bowl situation will fall into place rather – cleanly.

I’ll be sad to lose, but OSU would unequivocally deserve the Rose Bowl. It would just suck to see a rematch of OSU vs. PSU. :-)

Someone should have thrown a hot chocolate mug at that dude leading that cheer.

Did you know that they do that first down cheer hear in Boise, and they actually think they invented it here? This is from the same school that birthed their fight song out of a melding of UI and ISU. The entire institution is a fraud. I hope BSU ends up at home for their bowl game and I can go cheer for the opposing team.

It's going to happen

No way two non-BCS schools get into the BCS party. I swear Boise State is the most overrated team in the country this year. They have beaten NOBODY of consequence in a year in which the WAC is way down.

By the way, I hope the Huskies get Peterson, because in my mind, that guy has proven nothing in Boise. He has won mostly with Hawkins’ players, and hasn’t had to build a thing — he’s just had to maintain. I’m not convinced at all that he can rebuild a program.
