Not trying to be a jerk, but are the Cougs really “cleaning up” in recruiting for FB this year?

Hope you guys are back soon. And tough luck against Gonzaga—I was rooting for you last night. I went to grad school at U of Portland and have grown to friggin’ hate Gonzaga. Plus, Cougs and Beavs have a lot in common, including a near role reversal in our FB and BB programs and our relationships with in-state competition.

Seriously though, is recruiting going well?

Much, much better than it has recently under Doba

Lots of early commits, almost all of them 3-star prospects. I know that doesn’t guarantee anything, but it’s a good sign nonetheless. It’s a class that, right now, is ranked No. 6 in the Pac-10. Of course that can always change, but compared to Washington and our recent classes, we are cleaning up.
