Getting Tickets at Martin?

I almost hate to make the first fanpost about tickets and not the team but...

I've never been to Pullman for a game before.  I'm going to be in town for the September 27th game and I was hoping to take my family along with, anywhere from 2 to 5 more people.  They'd all like to make it but not necessarily at $50-$60 a pop.  I was wondering what the best method would be to get tickets for a group of that size.  Any specific websites or venues?  Day of the game outside the stadium?  In the name of full disclosure, I'm a  U of O alum and amped to see the Ducks and they're going for $52 per ticket on the official website but I assume that's in the visitor's section in an end zone somewhere.  Can anyone give me an idea of where in the stadium I should be looking as well?  Which section is student seating, etc?   Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot!

And because now I feel bad that both FanPosts are about tickets…

Anyone able to chime in on what the new Martin Stadium is starting to look like? Any Cougs in Pullman who could snap a few pictures and add ‘em to the Fan Shots? I won’t be out to check out the new digs (and the bar in the CUB!!) until Homecoming, but if nobody else has gotten around to it by then I’ll take a few pics to share here.

Family tickets?

I know they used to have family tickets where it came with like two adult and two kid tickets. I don’t know if they do that anymore, though.

Oh yeah

And it’s homecoming, so that might make tickets a little tougher to come by. Your lodging is probably your biggest hurdle, actually — my brother tried to get us a hotel room and there was NOTHING in either Pullman or Moscow. We’re going to be roughing it on a friend’s couch.

Stadium Information

Hey guys, for all your information about the stadium itself, please check out:

http://martinstadium.org/

They have photo galleries (including the SWEET new scoreboard) and a webcam, as well as tons of info about the overall renovation / expansion. I tried linking a few photos as FanShots but it wasn’t working for some reason. For the seating chart, there is a link on the right side of the main page.

As far as tickets goes, Niko, you may have some problems finding a cheap setup. Like Nuss mentioned, it is homecoming so IT’S KINDA A BIG DEAL (though if WSU starts the season poorly there may be more seats available). I don’t think you’ll do much better than $52 a pop, but even with endzone seating the small stadium + big video screen means you won’t miss much action. If you know students, or friends of students, you could get tickets into the student section for a little cheaper, maybe $35 each. But “in full disclosure”, and I’m sorry to say this, if you are going to be in full UO regalia, and especially if you have children you are bringing, you do not want to be in the WSU student section for this game. Usually only UO and UW are really bad, and the students are better behaved for other teams, but still.

Better start looking for hotel rooms in Moscow or the surrounding area NOW. I guess the game time isn’t set yet, so conceivably you could drive up the morning of the game and get hotels somewhere between Pullman and wherever you live, in case driving there and back in one day is too much.

Actually ...

The Times had it in the schedule today that it’s going to be a 3:15 kickoff on FSN. I hope that’s right, because I’m going, and that means I won’t have to get up at some ungodly hour to get there by a few hours before kickoff.

Me? I’ll be sleeping on a couch in a friend’s townhouse …
