It's gotta be Rock Lobster

In the spirit of WSU Football Blog's call for a nickname for WSU's latest superstar, Marshall Lobbestael, I thought I'd weigh in with my vote.

"Lobster" is a natural fit, given his surname and flaming red hair. But that just lacks a certain something.

So, it's gotta be Rock Lobster.

And then they need to play this after every touchdown.

I like it

Plus it is great song and it would be fantastic to hear it played at Martin.

Everybody had… matching towels…

ROCK LOBSTER!

I approve of this nickname.

I don't believe in the existence of the St. Louis Rams. They're just an urban legend!

I was reading on cougfan.com that Jack "The Throwin’ Samoan" Thompson came up with “Ocho Rojo”. AND that all the players loved it

Sounds a little too contrived to me

Seriously, when you’re taking your nickname ideas from Chad Johnson, you should be running the other way. You want a name that is going to withstand the test of time, one that’s going to outlast the fad of poorly using Spanish words.

That name is Rock Lobster.

Rock Lob for short?

If this were golf, the Mariners would be winning.

Amendment propsal...

Someone mentioned it on our open game thread…

Instead of Rock Lobster – Rock Lobbster – With two "b"s.

It's spelled "S-h-u-f-e-l-t"
