So apparently the scuttlebutt is that former Secretary of State and Stanford Provost Condoleezza Rice has asked to be considered for the Pac Ten commissioner's position.  She's gone on record as being a huge football fan, even saying the NFL commissioner's job would be her "dream job."

She's held numerous administrative positions, been involved in big time negotiations, she's got Pac Ten roots, tremendous academic reputation, and is a big sports fan.  What do you guys think?  Does her time in the Bush administration help her cause, hurt her cause, or have no affect at all?
