Open football gameday thread
Need a way to kill time before kickoff? Dying to talk about Arkansas whipping Auburn? Purdue and Minnesota? (By the way, that new stadium they have looks very cool.)
Here's your spot.

It's going to sound a little disingenuous now
But I honestly thought you were a little nuts with that one. VT is so dang tough at home.

I second that.
But I also said that WSU could run the ball today.

On the plus side, it's incredibly cold in Pullman today
That’s got a give us some kind of advantage over those warm weather Devils
I was listening to a Pac-10 podcast last night
And he said he thought the Cougs were stupid for not making it a night game. I bristled at first, but then I thought he was right. Although, I understand why the 2 p.m. start.

Open Saturday sports in general thread?
watching the President’s Cup now, playoff baseball later. I love this time of year
GOLF?
When there’s football on? Playoff baseball I get. But not golf.

Team golf events like this are sweet
Playin for pride, not paychecks
I LOVE a good major,
but I can never get into the team matches

I'm watching ESPN and I'm shocked...
They have snuggies… For Dogs! That’s outrageous! I must buy one, or maybe even 10…
Yeah
I turned on the game when it was 34-10 Arkansas. I was shocked. Figured Mallett threw for like 500 yards and 24 TDs in the first half or something. But then Auburn comes back and scores 2 TDs before I finish making my waffles and now it’s a game.

And now Arkansas scores again
Nothing worse than feeling like you’re back in a game then giving up a HUGE special teams return. Ouch.

Funny how coaches look stupid when their players don't execute
QB would’tve gotten the first on the sneak on his own 35, but he fumbles the snap.

So
There’s open, there’s wide open, and there’s the dude from VA Tech who just caught that TD. There wasn’t a dude anywhere near him
Yeah I just found it
I was too lazy to look it up. But the weird thing is, I’m cruising the Guide on my digital cable at 2pm and one channel lists a game “Weber State at Washington” and it says LIVE. I was like, huh?

Wow.
I just looked over at the UW Dawg Pound blog and they’re up in arms. Not only saying that there were bad calls (I agree with that), but that the refs were intentionally not giving them the calls. They are all in agreement that the refs were cheating for Notre Dame and they should lose pay over it. Really?
Well ...
Did you expect anything different? I know it was bad, but how about getting into the endzone and not leaving any doubt? People need to get over it.

#1 - You're in the Pac10... Get used to it
- - You’re playing Notre Dame, at Notre Dame, on NBC. What the hell else do you expect?
- - I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Dawgpound.
I count with a "one mississippi" trick
but it goes
“one whinyhusky”
“two whinyhusky”
this place is empty
3 years ago If I showed up 45 minutes before kickoff I would be stuck in the back or in the endzone. Today I get 15 rows up at the 40.
Vote for Butch!
thats sad.
My freshman year, I told people I was going to show up a half hour before the game, and everyone laughed at me. We showed up 3 hours before the game and got stuck in the upper level. I also waited 6 hours for the apple cup. I don’t imagine it was that bad last year..?
