Xavier Thames has been given the green light and resumed practicing with the Cougs today. Thames, the highest-ranked WSU recruit by Scout.com (26th among senior point guards), had missed a number of informal practices after the NCAA Clearinghouse raised questions about his high school transcript.

Your comment is pretty funny

When I logged onto this site, and I saw the name “Xavier Thames” I had the same exact reaction. All I could think was “Oh no….why oh why?” But then I started reading longer.

That is pretty horrible isn’t it? That any time any of us see a piece of news regards athletics we all assume it to be the worst?

For me it was more about the NCAA

How many times have they found a way to screw the pooch? I am amazed a decision was done quickly and he didn’t end up kicked out of the country.

They were going to send him to Guantanamo, but Obama got rid of it, so the NCAA was forced to clear him to play.
