Malcolm Gladwell, the author of Blink, The Tipping Point and Outliers, has written a very thoughtful and well-researched article on head injuries in the NFL. Studies are showing greatly increased risk of dementia in retired NFL players, especially offensive linemen. It's worth your time to read.
