The news about linebacker Louis Bland wasn’t good – remember when we said yesterday about his leaving practice early and Paul Wulff saying they would have to wait to see how his knee responded? – and it’s pretty likely he won’t be playing Saturday. The middle linebacker will be replaced by Mike Ledgerwood in the starting lineup because Alex Hoffman-Ellis has been slightly limited this week recovering from staph infection surgery.

Yay injuries! Down to our third string middle linebacker. Also noted in Grippi's post-practice report is that Tyson Pencer's out, Steven Ayers "might" play and B.J. Guerra will play, but no one knows how much. Alex Reitnouer -- all 253 pounds of him -- will start at left tackle. Thanks, bye week!

Okay, I have it figured out. Your remodeled stadium is built over an Indian burial ground, and you’re getting cursed. So, find yourselves a shaman and offer the proper sacrifices and rituals to appease the insulted spirits.

While you’re at it, have a priest run an exorcism, too. Can’t hurt, right?
