Washington State highlights vs. Cal

So I pieced together this playlist for the Cougar fans. Just click play and it should take you through the best Wazzu plays of the game. I encourage all of you to download the torrent, but if you just want the good stuff Tuel and company did, this will do.

Also, if you're having trouble with this or want to sample individual clips, click here and you should be able to take your pick! Good luck the rest of the season!

Wow, I wish I was a Cal fan

You guys over there at CGB do excellent work… Thanks for all the hard work guys.

I had piece in there about them being the second best blog on SBN

But I took it out because it was a complement post. I’m just saying that most opponents don’t do anything with us, while these guys come in, go on the podcast, cut a highlight playlist for us, and even release a torrent of the game. Cougcenter knows that they are the best damn blog around.

I'm just kidding

I love CGB, and I’ll take it as an enormous compliment that we’re being compared with them. There are a lot of things that they do that I hope we’re able to do someday, but they’ve been around a lot longer than we have.

Gotta give it up to the Bears

Cal fans have always seemed like reasonable and nice people. Much like Berkeley itself I guess. They also seem to suffer anguish and that feeling of gloom. From their blog it also looks like they know how to tailgate. I sense a roadtrip in 2011!

In case you didn't know, it's a bar ... ON CAMPUS

For shame! Think of the debauchery! What would V. Lane Rawlins say?!?!?

by Jeff Nusser on Oct 28, 2009 9:50 PM PDT up reply actions

Don't we have one of those now?

Also, Rawlins sucked much of the fun out of WSU.

I'm talking a bar like the Coug

Not a restaurant for alums to hang out at on football weekends.

Well Mike's is technically "on campus now"

Since WSU owns Adams Mall. Too bad Mike’s is terrible.

and Valhalla

I have heard it sucks too, though.

by displacedcoug on Oct 28, 2009 11:19 PM PDT up reply actions

Aren't those both technically off campus?

Just because the university owns the building(s) doesn’t mean it’s on campus. Greek row isn’t “on campus” …

But anyway, we’re splitting hairs. Imagine if The Coug or My Office was in the CUB. That’s what I’m talking about.

Just read CGB and you will become a Cal fan.

They have single-handedly made Cal my second favorite college team.

Agreed

I actually read them occasionally before CougCenter existed, if I recall correctly. Maybe it was at their old site though. Anyways, I check three SBN Pac 10 blogs even if we aren’t playing them – CougCenter, UW Dawg Pound, and California Golden Blogs. ATQ isn’t bad either, but CGB did make a hostile takeover last season and now technically owns them.

Thanks Avinash!

I know you were just putting in the “Cougar Positive” plays but it was funny to see the Riley incomplete passes on there as well, especially when the guy was open for a five yard gain.

Obviously perceptions of the game can be skewed by only watching positive plays, but I liked that Tuel can throw the deep ball as well as the sideline tightrope passes. There was one play on there where Tuel calmly jogged out of the pocket to avoid pressure and threw a dart 20 yards (about 6 forward) to a guy on the sideline. I like that he can make that throw without the corner having time to read and intercept it. Also, he seemed to be scanning the field for a deep throw before ultimately passing short. He just seems to have good awareness and the receiving corps shows great promise!

Go Cougs!
