A whole lot of games I don't care about this morning.
I suppose I can just watch Vandy…

I always enjoy watching GT
And Duke is giving them a run right now. More than a few people have that game on their upset alert screens.
One of the announcers just said Vandy should go back to what they "do best"
Not sure what he would be talking about.

Touchdown Vandy on a nice juggling catch.
Pan to the student section and the fans are clapping and yawning. Commodore fans are hardcore!

Texas beating Baylor 40-0. Yuck!
I thought we were playing Texas for a second there. I thought Baylor was putting together a decent team. I guess I was wrong.
Their stud QB is out for the season.

Maybe I am thinking specifically about how. . .
UW’s success this decade has been 100% tied to the health of Stanback and Locker. Other teams have found ways to win with backup QBs. Yeah, UO was sunk once Dixon went down, but not every team hinges 100% on the QB, or they have more depth at QB,
Example: Oregon State
They have been waning between Moevao and Canfield in the past three years and they have managed 10 win seasons.
That is one example, there are definitely others.
Nuss said “most teams” he did not say “every team.”

I was just trying to give an example to back up my claim
And your comments seemed to dismiss my point about UW, which I think is valid.
I'm not trying to dismiss your point about UW.
Particularly now, they are very reliant on the QB. You are right about that.

Haha!
Agreed.

Not that unusual.
Our Cougs suffer from that same syndrome.

Am I only person that remembers how bad Matt Kegel was?
And we beat Texas that year in the Holiday bowl.
Matt Kegel was not bad.
You are letting his failures in the ’02 Apple Cup cloud your memory.

The defense was good.
But it’s not like it had to overcome a terrible offense to win all those games. The offense still moved the ball and put points on the board.
People are generally too hard on Matt. The guy could barely walk and had an injured throwing shoulder and still performed pretty well.

It was unfortunate that he was sandwiched between Gesser & Brink.
Okay, Smegel wasn’t bad. He was pretty good. I’ll give you that. But the point I am trying to make is that our team wasn’t hinging on whether he was healthy or not. Stanback and Locker Are the Huskies this decade. I guess teams like Oregon are like this too. But I wouldn’t say that the Cougs depend on their QBs the same way. If that was the case, we would have gone to bowl games with Brink.
Quick Basketball Tangent.
You have to feel sorry for Mississippi Valley State. They have to fly into Spokane, come down to Pullman and get 94 points scored on them, and then go back to Spokane and get spanked by Gonzaga. I’m actually hoping those guys can give the Zags a game, but I’m not holding my breath.
Backup looks shaky.
Throws behind a guy, almost gets picked. Now fumbles inside the BSU 20. This could get ugly fast.

In this case, I yield to the point that "most" teams do depend on their QB.
With a team like Idaho, you just can’t reload a QB after crafting Enderle into a winning QB.
OSU has a very young team
The Beavers have almost they’re entire team returning next year. I was only half paying attention, but on TV when they showed the starters for OSU, I think there were only four or five seniors starting for them combined on offense and defense.
I’m not sure if the uw has a senior on offense.
yeah they put a lot of guys in the NFL last year
Riley’s awesome
Eight draftees I think.

Locker intercepted
OSU two plays later scores a TD. Year in and year out, OSU is the best coached team in the Pac.
Touchdown Stanford!
Drove all the way down after USC turned the ball over in the red zone.

I have it on FSN.
But I live in Nashville.

Intercepted by Stanford.
USC tried a screen pass, it bounced off McKnight’s hands and a lineman made a diving grab. Looks like it might be overturned though.

Alright!
I have it on ESPNU, but they are having technical difficulties and showing the battle for who will get crushed in the Rose Bowl right now.

It is obnoxious on TV.

Yeah, it is awful
their uni’s are ugly as well.
Don’t give oregon any ideas.
I hated their old turf
Light green dark green. Oh wait, I hate all things Duck…. (but Duck tastes great wrapped in bacon and thrown on the bbq!)
his numbers are way better than Ingram
yet nary a Heisman whisper
If Stanford wins today.
There will be some.

When FSN does uw games
I have never seen a network focus on an assistant coach more than FSN does. They seem fascinated with Holt even more than they are fascinated with Sarkisian.
That's because Holt is hilarious to watch on the sideline.

Idaho uni's
My sister called them the I-butts, but I guess they lost their logo on the back of their pants. LOL.
Idaho looks pretty good even without their QB. I hope we get to that level soon!
Midway through the second quarter: OSU 20
Huskies Zero
James Rogers just scored a TD
Excellent update.
I like what I see.

Harbaugh and Gerhart
They are really taking it to SC. Carroll looks totally confused and upset when it went to 14-0.
TD Beavers.
OSU has 27 points
The uw is still a ZERO, but they do have 7 points.
