Maybe if the game was on TV
But since I only have to listen to BobRob get excited and Walden sigh, I think I should be fine.

The only cameras in the building (supposedly) are the coaches’ …

That's true
Didn’t think of that. But if it was any kind of a production, it would be available through the WSU athletics site.
FSN SUCKS!!!
I just saw that instead of FSN picking up this game and having it start later in the day, they choose not to show it and are showing the Rock and Roll Marathon in San Antonio and a replay of the UW-San Jose State basketball game from last night…….that’s pathetic if you ask me. I know WSU is horrible this year, but the other team is a top 25 team and these are two northwest schools, I am pretty sure it would have bring in more viewers then a old basketball game. This to me proves that FSN wants nothing to do with WSU.
Why would you want this game to start later in the day?
Barely anybody is going to be there and starting it later would be even worse. This is going to be one of those games where I could have a conversation from my seats with a guy across the field.
Also, it appears Grippi has thrown in the towel.

Cause I am still a fan and would like to watch my team on TV
No matter how bad they are I want to watch at least the first quarter before the game is a blow out.

I agree I would love to watch for as long as I could bear
but that place will be empty. I mean, they might only have 3000-5000 students because of Thanksgiving break.

So has a great number of WSU students
from the sound of Grippi’s article. I was at the UCLA game last week and I saw the exodus of fans (students and non-students alike). Believe me, I understand what it’s like to root for a terrible football team (0-12 anyone?), but the perceived decline of support from the student body is very concerning.
Just my two cents. I hope I didn’t overstep my bounds. BTW, even I stayed till the end of the UCLA game.

I dont think its concerning
Cougars have been pretty loyal throughout this whole debacle, but it’s thanksgiving break and people have more important things to do than watch our team get drubbed by 50 at home. We’ve put up with a lot and if the team was even somewhat competitive, they would have fans in attendance, but when you continually get down 21 or 28-0 in the first quarter people find other things to do with their time, as they should. We are on to b-ball. Hope they play well, but we don’t deserve to be on TV at this point.
Students are notoriously fairweather
In the 1997 Rose Bowl year, it seemed like we didn’t have a full student section until the last game.
Another aspect of the student problem
With campus shut down next week, the dorms close this weekend and everyone has to be out. Even some students that might want to stay for a game can end up leaving because they have to get a ride out of town whenever they can.
