Harthun and Thames are starting
Moore and Capers are sitting.
I wonder if they played better during practice this week
or is it a discipliary issue.
Looks like a winning announce team for the game
Good to see Fox Sports bring out the A team for this tournament
Wall at the line for 2
2.4 seconds left and Wall ties it up.
A Stanford player missed two free throws that would have iced it before
Wall tied the game.
The game is going to overtime.
very slow start
kind of disappointed in our effort so far

I'm cooking and listening to the announcers.
Darn hosting my first thanksgiving tomorrow. Anyone here ever brine a turkey before?
Anyway, we need to get our act together, rebound and pull away. With multiple games over a few days, this needs to be easy. My 2 cents, back to cooking.
I love Alaska
Going there is like going back in time 10-20 years ago.
As evidenced by their TV production…
Yea this is great
takes me back to my childhood

I never got why UAA isn't just "Alaska"
And then Alaska-Fairbanks could be “Alaska State”.
Does that make too much sense?
Not sure why I think about these things.
they are a little weird in Alaska
Sarah Palin……need I say more?
by spokanecougar on Nov 25, 2009 8:56 PM PST up reply actions
Because when they were founded, Alaska wasn't a state?
Don’t actually know if that is true, it sounds good.
Wow
These guys are really bad. Keep waiting for BOOM goes the dynamite.
Wife says Bone looks like a buzzard.
Anyone else see that?
I always thought he looked a little weird/freaky

Don't see it yet
Kyle’s offensive improvement from year 1 to 4 was phenomenal… not sure we’re gonna see that from Marcus
hey, just my opinion
and i LOVE Weaver’s game
We all like Weaver's game
She was great in the Alien movies and she is in the upcoming James Cameron blockbuster Avatar.
Kyle Weaver is not bad either.
Does Bone fullcourt press at all
or just token pressure?
he was earlier this game a few times also
by spokanecougar on Nov 25, 2009 9:20 PM PST up reply actions
Saw the full court man to man
meant a press type “d”
No, he hasnt tonight
But I been watching a lot of the GU game also

Don’t know if it was really him with these cameras, but sure did look like him.

Rough half
But up 8… so not the end of the world
It’s just that we should be better than this. Especially on defense
yea, they are playing down to their oppoment
by spokanecougar on Nov 25, 2009 9:25 PM PST up reply actions
they don't seem to care...
I mean Casto was chewing gum while playing. How tough can you play while chewing gum?
I was a demon whilst chewing gum
All 5"6" of me, 85 pounds soaking wet.
Thankfully I grew. Alot.
That guy listening to an ipod?
The sideline reporter dude.

Alot of drugs in AK,
wife thinks sideline announcer is partaking.
Thought I would share.
Anyone have a boxscore?
I’m trying to figure out why exactly we’re not blowing these guys out.
Have a feeling it has to do with perimeter shooting
Interesting comment from ESPN Conversation
-——————-Washington St is HORRIBLE!!! You guys are going to have major problems, even in a horrid Pac-10 conference this year. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO HUSKIES!!!!!!
i listened to 5 minutes and switched stations

I can only handle listening to him during baseball season
when he isn’t huskybeat 90% of the time
These guys said they wonder if Reggie Moore has "played much" in the first few games.
READ A FREAKING BOXSCORE. DO SOME RESEARCH!

That is so irritating.
Like the long grass in South Bend.
Reggie's gotta get more agressive
I’ve decided part of the problem in the first half was starting XT/Harthun over Moore/Capers
I know.

i like the idea of harthun
more than i like him now that i see him play…maybe he is just sleepy.
Would like to see Motum and Bjornstad get in
We are going to need some more big guys playing this year and what better game to get them in than agains DII competition.
http://wsufoundation.wsu.edu/giving/enteramount.asp?Fund=Martin%20Stadium%20Project
Now if we can just make some free throws.
I think we can do better than 65%.
do any of these stats even count?
or the win?
I was wondering about that.
Our win against Central didn’t count a few years ago though.

Part of it is
We have our top 3: Klay, Casto, Moore.
Then our clear rotation guys: X, Nik, Capers, Lodwick
After that, there’s not much of a gap in talent between #s 8 and 15.
by Grady Clapp on Nov 25, 2009 10:01 PM PST up reply actions
Changing the mindset from defense to offense is weird...
I was worried that the game was getting to close and then in like 2min we are almost up by 20pts lol
Okay it is Motum time.
With a side of Bjornstad
http://wsufoundation.wsu.edu/giving/enteramount.asp?Fund=Martin%20Stadium%20Project
I see Alaska has a player that weighs 265
Why has almost all of our bigs the last few years been the Cowgill, Motum, Enquist and Bjornstad types instead of the Baynes types?
Tony LOVED his tall skinny white guys
Not sure why… part of it is that maybe that’s all we could get.
Chris Henry was a big guy but had too many back issues to make an impact. Baynes was just awesome. But that’s about hit.
by Grady Clapp on Nov 25, 2009 10:03 PM PST up reply actions
Boeke was another skinny player
There are physical guys out there. Idaho’s big is a player that Tony was scouting.
Much better.

we should score at will
and go on run after run…klay or no klay. hopefully it is them not just getting up for this game or being the first road game

UAA gives teams trouble in this tourney quite often.
They are not as bad as Chaminade at Maui.

i hear ya
but at some point you arn’t a shooter…hopefully he will get it together some time this season…remember Daven was a Pac-10 player of the week guy…twice i think. Abe is shooting 10% so he has never shown he can hit at this level. We could use it though.
by donkeyjon12 on Nov 25, 2009 10:14 PM PST up reply actions
Him and Harthun apparently are only shooters in practice

How do Cougs have no inside game
They have the size and length, they should be dominating inside.

Perspective
UAA = 17,000 students
WSU = 24,500 students
So they aren’t really a tiny school….
Now having said that the effort tonight has been pretty bad
good point
it feels…and maybe this is because it looks like the game is playing played in a doom on the moon there is no intensity or effort.

Need and inside presence
Or this is going to be a rough season
http://wsufoundation.wsu.edu/giving/enteramount.asp?Fund=Martin%20Stadium%20Project
i expect that vs. quality
but our guys should all be hungry to dominate against a D2 school

Our Dance Team is one of the best in the nation.
I’m not kidding either, they are in the top five nationally in competitions quite often.

I feel like the question was more generic though...
Because to call that a dance team is to shame dance teams everywhere. So generic student body, do we win a dance off? I vote yes, for I did some fine dancing at valhalla while soderly tober back in the day.
That was the Palmer/Wasilla Co-Op
Dance/Cheerleading/Spirit Squad.
Why burn Motum and Bjornstad's shirts
If they aren’t even going to play against a DII team to get some confidence going?

He’s not exactly blowing the doors of the place.
And that makes me grin.

They spent all the money mic-ing the rim
and the announcers are talking through tin can phones. It’s awesome
Did you notice the sky view camera early in the game?
Maybe it was sponsored by Goodyear? You could barely see the players.

Right at the tip?
I was worried it was going to be like that all game.
When the game is over, I have to go
pick up my 8 and 11 year old they borrowed.
Yeah, I like all the cameras
