6'9" and will play shooting guard this year.
Yeesh.
The coach said he could play 3 or 4 in college. Tall enough to play 4, but I don’t know that he’ll be able to get thick enough. Either way, pretty excited to see him play.

A few points of insight
Evenson is not really the best coach. Although he does enjoy letting his best players have the ball in their hands as much as possible. What we see from him this year will not be because of the offense, since he doesnt have one. It will be pretty much him dominating. There is no way he becomes a 4. He is locked into a 3 as he is not quick enough for a 2 and not physical enough to be a 4. I think that the 6’9’’ is a little bit generous. I would feel much better at 6’8’’. I can have a few updates on him during the year if you would like as I will have the opportunity to watch him play a few times.
One thing that is very accurate is he is a very hard worker and he will put in the effort to get as good as he can be. He does shoot the three pretty dang well and has been getting a better pull up J. More input as the season gets started on how he has progressed.

That would be awesome
Throw it up in a FanPost. We would love that.

Seconded
More information is always welcome, and first hand observation is invaluable.

I see him at the 3 as well
He could play some 4 especially when they go to a zone. He could cause some trouble pulling a 4 to the outside to guard him similar to the UCLA 4’s (Dragovich, etc.). I started to wonder whether Simon was another potential Lodwick. A prolific high school shooter from a small school who has trouble adjusting to the next level. A big difference is that he has shown he can score well against AAU competition. From what I have heard Lodwick didn’t play a lot of AAU ball.
What I would like to know is whether Simon is a Pac 10 athlete. I definitely think Simon is a good match for Bone because of how much we have heard he loves the 3.

You hit on the answer with one of your last points
Simon at times has been inconsistent, but dominant in AAU games. No one has been ever to say that about Lodwick.
Also, playing the 4 in college is not the same thing as playing the 4 on the pros. Simon should be able to play either the 3 or 4 in college.
Heck, Baylor competed last year with often having four guards on the floor last year.
