Assault in the fourth degree.
(1) A person is guilty of assault in the fourth degree if, under circumstances not amounting to assault in the first, second, or third degree, or custodial assault, he or she assaults another.
(2) Assault in the fourth degree is a gross misdemeanor.

admittedly i dont know the details
But the log says a female reported that he assualted her which, to me, is inexcusable

Since if it’s domestic violence the police pretty much have to arrest him to remove him from the scene. But man … I’ve never been arrested. I’ve never found it that hard to avoid.
You're right
I forgot that in DV cases where an accusation is made they have to make an arrest. I think 4th degree is the lowest level.
But I’m with you in never having been arrested and yet our football team seems to have made it a habit
