AUDIO: CougCenter Podcast, Episode 17

As promised, this week's CougCenter Podcast. We switch gears into full-on basketball mode with the Gonzaga contest tonight. Topics covered include a debrief of the Great Alaska Shootout, how long Klay Thompson might actually stick around Pullman, and a breakdown of just what the Cougs need to do to beat the Zags.

As usual you can listen to the audio via the player below, or visit our podcast page for myriad subscription options. You can also find us in the iTunes directory under keyword "CougCenter." The advantage of subscribing? Besides having the audio directly delivered to your player of choice, I often upload the audio to the podcast site before posting it here.

Part of the bad "adjusted" defensive efficiency is because our schedule has been so bad

If you’re not impressive against some of the worst teams in the country, the rating is going to be bad. I’m hoping it’s a young team playing down to the competition, or, like you guys pointed out, if our guys just felt like the game was over before tip off.

i agree with your points on klay

But I still think he’s gone after this year. “Being ready for the NBA” is no longer a hurdle to be drafted highly.

I also think its a farce that playing another 30 games in college gets you more ready for the nba than playing 10 minutes per night for 82 games and having your own personal coach the team bought for you.

If he gets wind that he’s a lottery pick, he’s gone, IMO.

I agree.

If being ready were a prerequisite, Jrue Holliday would still be a Bruin.

in the nba, you only need to be good at one thing to have a career

klay has one of the prettiest jumpers i’ve ever seen and a quick release at that.

everything else can be coached.
