THE MORNING PAPER: WSU at Cal
Cougs take on Cal tonight at 7:30 p.m. Here's your Morning Paper to kick off the day:
For WSU ...
- Kenpom.com WSU scouting report.
- The official press release from the WSU Athletic Department.
- Vince Grippi's game preview from the Spokesman-Review, noting Tony Bennett wasn't pleased with the defensive effort on Thursday. Shocker.
- Freelancer Howie Stalwick notes in his game preview for The (Tacoma) News Tribune that time is running out on the season for the Cougs, and that a tough schedule remains. This is the kind of analysis you can't get anywhere else, folks. (Except in the P-I and Olympian, because they ran the same story.)
For Cal ...
- Kenpom.com Cal scouting report.
- No gameday press release from Cal yet.
- This isn't really a preview from the San Francisco Chronicle, but it does examine why Patrick Christopher is struggling to score points.
- Believe it or not, that's pretty much it.

Gametime and still no Game thread?
Game threads are the best during a national game, I was really look forward to this one.
we seem to be making a concerted effort
for extending the pack-d out to the 3pt line. we’ll see how long it takes for it to bite us in the ass.
getting freed up wide open under the hoop
is the risk we run. looks like they just got one by us there…
I almost hate to see us scoring so much early on
I just know that we’re going to “shoot our selves out” and go on another 20-2 run in the second half. I hope they prove me wrong.
time to pull casto
for now anyway. camp’s just scored on him on 3 straight possessions.
i've still yet to see a reason
that harthun or lodwick deserve any playing time.
I know you guys like Capers...
but I’m not seeing what he is bringing tonight.
I know...but if I'm the opposing coach, I tell my guys to sag way off..
him and dare him to shoot. He brings zero “O” to our team.

i think he moves well without the ball and helps the O
but you’re right, he has no J to speak for.
when capers and harthun checked in
we were up by 9.
Honestly, as long as our starters were dominating...
I would not have changed anything. Nada.
I like their Mexican guy.
he’s a good player.
really?
he got deked and then bailed out when the dude missed a point blank layup
our post d is leaving a lot to be desired right now….
beautiful
he found the lane perfectly…..build on that!
Hey everyone
I don’t know why there’s no game thread. I know SBN has had some issues with scheduled posts not popping up. But I guess you’re all making do here.
By the way, in case anyone’s keeping track, we’ve been outscored 14-4 with the old guy lineup on the floor to start the second half.
hey nuss
there’s some people over in the game thread linked above
