Tony Bennett: Your 2008 Coug of the Year
In completely not-shocking news, Tony Bennett is your 2008 winner for Coug of the Year. Defeating #2 seed Kyle Weaver in the finals, 66-43.
Congrats, Tony. It's another trophy for your mantle, although judging by the picture I wish the trophymakers had put a little more effort into it.
Congratulations. Tony certainly deserves it for his commitment to WSU.
And thanks to all of you out there who voted, and for your continued support of CougCenter.

Yup, it's that important
The AP knows a legit competition when it sees one. That’s why it sticks with us, and not the BCS.
I'd also like to note
That the image you see was in no way altered by MSPaint.
Now move along, folks…
Anyone have ESPN insider?
Tony Bennett is on the cover of this story! Might be some speculation of going to Georgia.

Yep! and Nope!
As in, yep I have Insider, and nope Tony isn’t speculated to go anywhere. The article is about recent “rebuilding” programs, and it highlights WSU as one of those in recent years that has actually done it correctly. Doug gives us an A for a grade, as well as an A for “outlook” which is encouraging despite our lumps this year.
Other programs given good grades – Oklahoma (rebuilding after the Sampson infractions), Kansas State (after Huggins ditched them for West Virginia), and Ole Miss.
Doug is just writing sort of an advice column for Georgia and Alabama, showing them both good and bad rebuilding jobs across the country.
Tony Bennett for Heisman!
