Why do I do this to myself?

I so hate my bracket. This is ridiculous. Bonus points to Yahoo!, though, for using efficiency stats in their little capsule breakdowns of each game.

Yeah, I liked that

I just changed my bracket to upset city! Then changed it back again! ARGH!

But I guess if I pick more rationally I can enjoy the tournament either way, either upsets win and my bracket loses or the tourney is more boring but my bracket rules.

I didn’t just pick chalk though!

I checked out those two sites you referred me to for the M’s. Pretty good stuff, I read a bunch of it. Sorry for my pessimistic attitide toward them at this time. Maybe I can pull out of it soon, there’s always hope I guess.

At first, it was Maryland, then I switched it to Cal

I am just down on Memphis. Their defense looked really bad for 35 minutes that game.

They might shoot themselves out of it eventually....

I had a hard time choosing between Cal and Maryland too. I don’t see how either can beat Memphis though. Memphis is too talented across the board but time will tell. All the jitters are gone after the first game, teams settle down a bit, and coaching plays a key roll. Calipari is a good one but so is Montgomery and Gary Williams. Tough choices.

Agreed Memphis has more talent then almost anyone in their bracket

But if we picked based only on talent, these brackets would be no fun. I like Purdue’s stong showing today, I have them over UW next round. But I would love to see a huge upset today.

I will pop in and out of here....

Purdue / N Iowa game will go down to the wire but Purdue will pull it out. I don’t see how the pups lose in the first two rounds. Maybe if they had to play back east somewhere but getting to play in Portland is a huge advantage for them.

Overton

looks like an offensive linemen grabbing jerseys out there. He is hip checking like he is playing street ball. He’s flopping like he’s in the NBA. Then when they call it on him he looks shocked, even as the announcers laugh at him. You can’t grab jerseys and pull guys down Venoy… I can’t believe he only has one foul. Embarrassing for these refs.
