More Jon Brockman Abuse
We're almost there Coug fans! It has been a long week of anticipation awaiting one of the biggest UW-WSU basketball games that any of us has ever seen. Pac 10 supremacy on the line for the Huskies, a potential miracle NCAA tourney berth for the Cougs, this one will be a battle.
To finish my series of Coug victories at Hec Ed, we will revisit last year's contest. That game included yet another Brockman getting dunked-on moment:
The Cougs played this game holding their highest ranking ever at #4. They were undefeated and awaiting a much-anticipated matchup with UCLA the next week. UW played hard with grittyness and toughness that any WFB fan would appreciate. It was not enough however, as the powerhouse Cougs pulled out a late game victory aided by a big Derrick Low three and a Taylor Rochestie runner (yes he does make them occasionally).
On a personal note, I went to this game after securing a ticket through the UW Monday sale. There were Cougs all over the place and a guy holding up a sign that said "6" as we walked out. No other sign could have said it better. I also attended the Seahawks playoff victory over the Redskins earlier. One of the great days of my life.
Hopefully we have another YouTube highlight video to add to the collection after Saturday. Click on the link to see the video.

I love watching these so that I can remember how awesome Kyle Weaver was
It’s not like you ever really forget, but when you watch this stuff you can’t help but go, “Damn! He was good!” That crossover pull-up 3 was just amazing — never would have thought he’d ever be able to do that, but that’s the kind of player he became. Spectacular.
I love the post move when he powers through two guys and gets the and-1
He is amazing
This is where per game statistics go to die.

I was there too....
and if you were facing the guy that had that awesome sign, I was in the top row to the left right next to the isle. Great sign! Great game! Great victory!
I don’t remember the individual efforts as much as I remember all the Cougs scattered throughout Hec Ed and the wonderful feeling of victory and high-fiving other Cougs as we were leaving the arena.
