Venoy Overton takes pride in his defense
Which, thanks to this video evidence from TMBCoug on YouTube, involves grabbing and tripping people. Classy guy.

"boy look at overton's hands"
Yes, look at them as they grab Taylor Rochestie.
This is where per game statistics go to die.

You should see the comments I made on.....
the game day thread about those plays by Overton. I was thinking along the lines that he was trying to purposely injure Taylor. It’s classic me with the comments though.
And they wonder why Caleb had an issue with Gant during the first meeting. Gimme a break!

Not only do they get into your head....
on the court, they get into your jersey as well. I remember another play where Overton looked like he was trying to undress Baynes.
Overton’s objective is to play that style to disrupt, and it probably works.
Gant was all over Caleb during the first meeting, almost hugging him numerous times. It’s something the officials should have noticed and taken action on before it got out of hand.

Makes me sick...
the trip might have been inadvertent, but the purse mug right before was pretty intentional! I greatly dislike the uw fans acting like grabbing/tripping shouldn’t be called a foul….ridiculous

At least the refs weren't buying it for most of the game
That’s how we ended up in the bonus first in the first half. It was a crazy game, but overall, seemed to be officiated fairly. (At least, that was more or less how it seemed from the 29th row.)

Yeah
The only thing I really disagreed with was the 4th foul on Klay, it didn’t look to me on replay that he even touched the guy. That was DEFINITELY a case of the ref anticipating the foul, which unfortunately happens too often.
I was glad to see the refs calling Overton on that stuff, which caused him to back off a bit. That is more likely how the refs will call things in the tournament, letting a lot of the physical stuff go but calling grabs / trips more often.
Tony Bennett for Heisman!
