PrintBad news for the Terry Porter fans out there... it appears he is not interested in the WSU job.
Which is odd, considering that he's stiill among the 8.5% of Americans who are unemployed.
Not a huge deal. I like Terry Porter the man, but am not sold on him as a college coach.
One name I haven't head, that we should take a serious look at, is Billy Gillespie. He built a winner at a non-traditional basketball school (Texas A&M), and his firing at Kentucky had more to do with not getting alone with the UK elite than failing to win basketball games.

I just don't think Gillispie will be interested
He’s got a multi-million buyout coming his way and let’s face it, in terms of perception, WSU is s step down from Texas A&M. The only way I think this happens is if he is really wanting to get as far out of the spotlight as possible. But I’d like it — he did some pretty remarkable things at both UTEP and A&M. The Aggies were winless in the Big 12 the year before he took over, and 8-8 the next year.
Porter may still be a candidate
Grippi just posted that Porter, Davis, and Bone were interviewed at the Final Four.
