Around SBN: The Amateur Mathematics Of Linsanity

Anderson successfully defended his 400-meter hurdles title at the Texas Relays yesterday, cruising around the track in 49.48 seconds -- about a second and a half faster than the second place finisher. Anderson said afterwards, "I'm still trying to get in shape because I feel as though I'm still in my football shape."

Think about that for a second. Jeshua Anderson runs an entire lap around a track in less than 50 seconds -- while jumping over stuff -- blistering other world-class athletes, and he says he's not even in peak shape yet. Wow.

Anderson should stick with track

I think that is the sport he has the highest ceiling in. He needs to get a lot stronger for football. I just don’t see him becoming a starter at this point because he is splitting time between the two sports.

Just my opinion though. I wish him the best in both pursuits and I’m glad he is a Coug!

He's gonna fall way behind in football by missing spring practice....

I think you are right. He has Olympic potential. It’s amazing how much speed he has and it’s too bad both sports aren’t totally compatible.

Football pays more

I’d go for football if I were him. If he can develop the skills to catch the ball, he could become an all-pro NFL player with the world class speed.

Olympic class athletes make a bunch of money too....

He’s got some work to do if he wants to be an NFL wide receiver. Missing spring ball doesn’t help.
