Cougs take second straight from Ducks, make mothers everywhere proud
Today by a count of 5-3.
Chad Arnold gets the win, moves to 6-2 on the season, and all is right with the world.
Thanks to a UCLA loss, the Cougars now stand alone in second place in the conference. WSU goes for the series sweep tomorrow at noon. Be there!
And of course, Happy Mother's Day. Love you, Mom.

Was at Saturday night's game
Fans just about tore the ump a new one when he called a ball that hit the white foul line in the outfield a foul ball instead of fair. Way has some nasty offspeed stuff. There were about 4-5 instances where he had hitters dropping to their knees in being fooled so badly and give Pacizano a hard time in digging the balls out of the dirt.
Here’s the current standing. WSU still has Portland, OSU, Gonzaga, and The Purple Pups on their schedule. Meanwhile, The Devils have last place Oregon, 8th place Arizona, and 3rd place UCLA on their Schedule.
(Name – Record – Games Back)
Arizona State 16-5 -
Washington State 13-7 2.5
UCLA 14-10 3.5
Oregon State 12-9 4
Washington 12-9 4
Stanford 10-11 6
USC 10-11 6
Arizona 8-13 8
California 8-16 9.5
Oregon 4-16 .200 11.5 14-33 .298
I found out we swept today.
That’s the only way to fly. Sweep the Ducks! I remember when Oregon was actually a pretty decent baseball team and tougher than h e double toothpicks to beat.
Way To Go Coug!!!
I'm so excited about Cougar baseball....
I’m gonna go watch em play Saturday in Corvallis and if I can pull it off, maybe either Friday or Sunday too. But for sure on Saturday. I can’t wait. Go Cougs!!!
That is awesome!
This is where per game statistics go to die.
