Cougar baseball routs the Huskies

Stay connected for news and updates

Starter Chad Arnold and reliever Adam Conley combined for 14 strikeouts and baffled the Husky hitters all afternoon.  Jay Ponciano continued to have a solid series, collecting three hits including a solo homer in fourth.  The Cougs cruised to a 7-1 victory.

WSU has now fanned 29 batters in the first two games of the series.  Husky cleanup hitter Kyle Conley has gone 0-9 with 6 strikeouts against the Cougs.

The series continues tommorrow at noon.  Redshirt freshman David Stilley will be looking to shake off his two previous outings and complete a sweep of the Dawgs.

As Grady mentioned in a comment during the game thread:

"We now have the right to torch the selection committee’s homes if they leave us out."
