AUDIO: CougCenter Podcast, Episode 7
Sorry for being a little light on the writing today -- crazy day that just didn't afford a lot of time to pound out any thoughts at the keyboard. But we do have our latest edition of the podcast, which I had intended to post earlier today. But, like I said ... crazy day.
Anyway, here it is. Topics covered include some guy named Jeff Tuel, the other freshmen and what we think of the job Paul Wulff is doing recruiting, is the WSU defense more like its weak starts or strong finishes, what the two defenses might try to do on Saturday, a look around the nation, and predictions on the game.
As usual, you can listen to the podcast via the player below, or visit our podcast page for various subscription options. You can also find us in the iTunes podcast directory by typing in keyword "CougCenter."

I don't know who to hate in that game
I despise Notre Dame, and obviously the Huskies as well. I’d tend towards wanting the rival to lose, but it’s hard to root against any Pac 10 team doing well in a big time non-con game. I guess that if this was a year (oh, if only) that the Cougs were competing for a bowl spot then I would root for UW, because if the Pac 10 looks really good the Pac 10 winner might get to the NC and all the other Pac 10 teams would get bumped up a bowl.
Aside from personal feelings, that game could really go either way. UW hasn’t really faced a good passing team yet, so I don’t know if their secondary can slow down the Irish attack. Notre Dame’s defense didn’t do well against the mobile QB of Michigan, so they might have trouble with Locker too. Make Locker beat you through the air! Although even if you have a spy on that guy he’s going to be tough to stop. Should be a good one.
