A primer on why we use different stats than everyone else - CougCenter

7

Here's an oldie but a goodie about the advanced basketball stats that we reference often here at CougCenter. You've already seen a couple in Craig's profile below, and you'll see more in my profile later tonight. We know by looking at our site stats that we have more people reading the site than we did a year ago, so it stands to reason that we've got new readers who might not be initiated. Since it becomes cumbersome to explain each stat as we go, here is a layman's guide to the different stats, explained in a (hopefully) easy-to-digest way. If you're new, take a few moments to read this piece. It'll help you understand what we're talking about, and make you a smarter fan in the process.
