AUDIO: Podcast, Episode 38 - Oregon Ducks Edition
Well, after my little software snafu last week, Craig, Brian and I are back for another edition of talking about a hopeless football game. It's been nice that those have been a little bit fewer and farther in between this year, but we have no illusions about this one.
In this week's episode, we talk about whether anything could happen this Saturday that could cause us to think the team is going backward (given the strength of Oregon), and whether it's OK to like the Ducks. And for a bonus, we talk basketball! Eight days, people!
As usual, you can listen to the audio via the player below, or visit our podcast page for myriad ways to subscribe to all of our audio. (Our podcast page now has a mobile option for those of you reading this on your phone.) You can also find us in the iTunes directory under keyword "CougCenter," or simply click this link. The advantage of subscribing? Besides having the audio directly delivered to your player of choice, I often upload the audio to the podcast site before posting it here.
Also, if you own an Android phone (and I know many of you do), you have no reason not to download the Listen app and subscribe using this link. If you click on it from your mobile browser, you can complete the action with Listen. DO IT. And if anyone knows of a good iPhone podcast app, I'll be happy to plug that, too.

If basketball starts getting us down
We’re gonna move right along to baseball. We’re gonna get something to make us happy one of these days.
starting 5
I love how it’s a “premium article”, but I assume it was pulled from the transcript at The Times.
Short answer: “DeAngelo, Abe, Klay, Marcus and Reggie. But we don’t start for a month and a half.”
From that recap, this was awesome.

Who is the greatest basketball player to ever come out of Snohomish High School? What college did he end up playing at?

I use Podtrapper on my Blackberry
I generally throw you guys on my iPod and listen to you in the car on the drive to Pullman, though.
I have to say, Oregon has generally been my second favorite Pac-10 team.
I know few people agree with me, but I don’t lose any sleep over getting to root for them to win the Pac 10.
Man, we really were asleep at the switch in regards to Emerson Murray.
Also, for the hit counter’s sake:

I can't bring myself to root for Oregon
Sorry, guys. Regardless of whether they are fun to watch or not, I have to draw the line somewhere. I don’t remember any Ducks rooting for the Cougs when we tore them up at Autzen in 2003, so I am not going to turn around and endorse the yellow and green. I just can’t do it. I’m still holding out for Stanford or Oregon State to win the conference (as improbable as that may seem).
