- Came closer to beating Oregon than #9 Stanford
- Held Oregon to their second lowest point total (43) of the season (lowest: 42 versus Arizona State)
- If not for a bad Jeff Tuel read, could have been within 6 points of the Ducks at the start of the fourth quarter
- Scored more points (23) against the Ducks than Tennessee (13)
- Beat the Ducks in time of possession, 34:42 to 25:18
- Went 7 for 15 on third down and had only one fewer first down than Oregon
- Won turnover margin 3 to 1
- Held the run-happy Ducks to 6.3 yards per attempt
- Held LaMichael James to 5.4 yards per rushing attempt
There you have it, folks. I know it wasn't a win, and it wasn't very close at the end. But given the quality of the opponent, this may have been the best performance by WSU in the Paul Wulff era.
