Highlights of WSU's victory over Gonzaga. I haven't gotten enough of this game yet, I'm sure you haven't either. The Klay Thompson block of Sacre is at the 6:45 mark. Enjoy!

What a great win!
AWESOME! I hope they can take this same level in defensive intensity to Oahu.
If we can't have the Sonics can we please get KC to call all of our games I miss his play by play.
And thanks for the study break Craig!

After reviewing that
Looks like the crowd was more into it than I remembered. FSN probably doesn’t mic the crowd the same way ESPN does.

I watched the replay on tv that night after the game
And I was shocked at how quite the crowd seemed…we were MUCH louder than the tv would have you believe.

Unrelated
How big can this Diamond Head classic be for us? If we Beat Mississippi State We likely face Baylor and then could easily end up playing an also good Bulter or Florida State Team. I’m hoping for a tournament preview after the next game. I’m excited.
I'll be happy if we come out of that tourney losing only one
Running the table would be nice but can’t expect too much, and two losses would be fine (kinda) if they came at the hands of the better teams in the tourney.

That was totally goaltending
"I mean I was like, okay, there you go, you wanna hit me? There you go, one pitch for you. You don't get it? You have no chance." ~ Felix Hernandez
From the first 3 minutes of the video I thought these were Cougar-only highlights
Then they showed Gonzaga scoring and I remembered that we were just that dominant for the first 15 minutes or so.

I had to replay the beginning twice
because of Marques Johnson’s reaction to Capers dunk. “Oooo!” Funny stuff. Klay must have got tips from CJ Mizell they way he threw that guy at the end of thr held ball situation.
I love these two announcers. They are great together. Man I miss listening to Sonic games. Stern let Ballmer buy the Hornets please. There was some great lines in this game.
I think I got a new tagline. “Yaka Fest from outside for Klay Thompson” – Marques Johnson
“There he is, the Brain Wizz” Kevin Calabro
Was that another Tomahawk Jam by Aden? H/T to Bud Nameck
I know it is easy to say this when we are winning, but you are starting to see what a offensive mastermind Bone is. He is a good coach. They are now starting to get his system in their second year. (What recruit wouldn’t want to play in this offensive system?) After re-watching those plays I realized those guys didn’t get open from 3 land by accident, there were high screens and good motion. You can tell Bone was the mastermind behind Romar. I have also heard Hironaka is a great basketball mind. I hope these guys carry their confidence through the Pac10 schedule. If everyone gets healthy it is going to be very scary for the Pac10.

You are right, it was windmill. Thanks for the clarification.
That’s right we were debating if he should have used Tomahawk.

Hironaka just looks like a guy who must be smart...
Because he sure doesn’t look like much of an athlete.
He did play a little college ball
Did you know he “the highest ranking Japanese American coach in the country.”
Here an article about him. He is a hard worker and good coach.

I disagree about KC doing our games
Kelly20210 I agree with the fact that KC is a great BB announcer. But if you listen to his sport show he berates the Cougs as frequently as he can get away with. I bet it hurt him to see us play so well. If you doubt me just listen to his 710 Sport Show. Never anything good to say about the Cougs but he thinks the purple nation is wonderful!!!!! I agree he does a good job, but it sounds to me like he is a bit two-faced.
He has to be because Jim Moore is the most pro-cougar in the media on a station that's mostly listened to by Husky fans
Calabro is a Butler alum I believe, plus his son goes to WSU.
He has to attract an audience, and Husky bashing with Jim Moore radio program wouldn’t survive in Seattle.

Well it's just wishful thinking. I'm more of a 950 guy personally, plus I live in Pullman most of the year being a student.
I’ve actually never even listened to his radio show, I just love his play by play.
"If you want your dreams to come true, don't sleep in."
Agreed. I love his play by play.
I can remember back in the day in junior high turning off the TV and just sitting in my room and listening to Calabro and Blackburn call games. They did such a good job that I just wanted to just listen to games. Many times I did the same thing with Neihaus. X-Man, GP, OP, Cage, Reign Man, EJ, Barros, McKey, Avery, Threatt, Ellis, Pierce…man were those the day. I miss the Sonics.

I always used to mute the TV and listen to Calabro on the radio
Made the game so much better.

Listening to Calabro and Johnson when Kemp was in his prime was my favorite time to be a sports fan.
Imagine if Wally Walker would have kept Pippen instead of trading him for Olden Polynece? The trio of Pippen, Payton, and Kemp, with Calabro and Johnson announcing? Wow.

I miss *those* sonics
I don’t miss the Sonics. At all.
When the NBA starts playing basketball again, let me know.

Marques Johnson...
After draining another 3:“Simon Says I’m Hot” I love KC’s play by play and I think Marques Johnson is funny and a very smart basketball guy. I like the pairing, and the game wasn’t bad either. : )

Marques is my favorite college basketball analyst in the country
It’s a shame he’s hidden away on FSN working with mostly second-rate broadcasters.
