Five year deal
More on Moos…We’ve learned that it’s a five-year deal and he will start on May 1st.

KJR Twitter

And yes, I’m super unhappy that KJR is getting this scoop

It feels so wrong

But then again it’s Furness. If it was Softy, I’d be filled with bittersweet emotions

by Brian Floyd on Feb 23, 2010 11:47 AM PST up reply actions

Salary is 600k per year

According to kjr. That is crazy. Has anyone ever heard of an AD making that much?

by DrayCox on Feb 23, 2010 11:56 AM PST via mobile reply actions

Yes

He made that at Oregon. And I believe I just won the betting pool with 5 years at 600k per

by Brian Floyd on Feb 23, 2010 11:59 AM PST up reply actions

I guess I’m just accustomed to WSU going the cheap route. Sterk was making 200k right?

by DrayCox on Feb 23, 2010 12:00 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

About 300 this last year.

Considering the buyout money he would’ve made not to work, this seemed right about where the price would land.

Bill has something to say.

Wow, thanks Mr. Moos.

This is......

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Hare on Feb 23, 2010 12:14 PM PST reply actions

Food for thought

He’s taking the job on May 1st. If he wasn’t able to figure out some sort of settlement, this could be a way to squeeze an extra 200k out of Oregon.

by Brian Floyd on Feb 23, 2010 12:28 PM PST reply actions

Interesting point.

Or maybe he is going to go on an awesome vacation. Squeezing money out of WSU donors will be a difficult task.

Not yet.

But we should all be purchasing our tickets to the 2011 BCS title game and Final Four.

2012

Wulff says we’re going to the Rose Bowl in 2012

by Brian Floyd on Feb 23, 2010 1:27 PM PST up reply actions

Was that before or after Moos?

Moos will make it happen. Championships!

So how's he doing on that checklist?

Has he fired Wulff?
Has he got WSU a killer TV deal?
Has he locked up Bone with a 3 million dollar buyout?

by Brian Floyd on Feb 23, 2010 1:30 PM PST up reply actions

It's alright.

It was just the easiest way for me to communicate with you. I probably could have emailed or facebooked you. Just chalk it up to laziness on my part.

Also I have no idea what you are talking about.

It shouldn't

Either that or I just sent a dirty email to Nuss.

Long story short, flagging comments and writing messages

I was freaking out for a little because I couldn’t post anything! haha

The penalty box is awesome, by the way

Did they take out the Jager machine I put in?

by Brian Floyd on Feb 23, 2010 1:31 PM PST up reply actions

Moos first act as AD

should be to ban the term “coug it”. It is said that we are known for blowing games and to change that mindset I think the term needs to go. I think we should ban it on this site as well. Changing the culture means changing attitudes.

by Cougars Hunt and Kill on Feb 23, 2010 4:40 PM PST reply actions

And bring back

the term Wazzu after Rawlins tried to get rid of it.

by Cougar999 on Feb 23, 2010 4:42 PM PST up reply actions   1 recs

I can't remember anyone

using it on here either and that is because we are good cougs. It’s the band wagon group and other teams fans such as Huskies and Zags that use it the most.

by Cougars Hunt and Kill on Feb 23, 2010 4:49 PM PST up reply actions

I was going to make a joke about it,

but I think I will abstain, at the risk of being (virtually) punched.

by spencer peaty on Feb 23, 2010 6:32 PM PST up reply actions

Nuss might track you down

and (literally) punch you.

I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. Ugh

by HitKing69 on Feb 23, 2010 6:59 PM PST up reply actions

It's true.

I’ve seen Nuss’ reaction. It’s not pretty, but very appropriate and necessary. I actually have punched someone for saying it. Not very hard, but still…
