Gold medal game open thread

heres your open thread.

usa vs canada for all the marbles

to quote robin williams....canada is like a loft apartment over a really great party.

sorry about the formatting, fanpsts from a phone arent easy.

and to get to seventy five words ill say that miller needs to have the game of his life, our forwards need to forecheck aggressively, and we need to continue blocking shots on defense. if the us wins, canada may have a country wide meltdown

I'm not an expert

But it isn’t good when you it takes you 1 minute and 30 seconds to even get an attack going on the power play.

Very entertaining.

If we lose, I pin it on the first power play unit. Get 1 shot off and then give up a cool shortly after.

Congrats Canada

Its there sport, so I think they will savior this more then we would have. Feel really bad for Miller, hell of a hockey player and he had a great games.

by spokanecougar on Feb 28, 2010 3:00 PM PST reply actions

We would have saviored this one

more the fact of beating Canada in hockey then being the best hockey team in the world I think.

No we would not have

We would have enjoyed this win for about 24 hours and then moved on to our other sports, while always appreciating this win since it will have been this biggest win for USA Hockey since 1980. But Canada lives and dies with hockey, they are obsessed with the sport, it is more their sport then any other country in the world probably, they will enjoy this win for many years and for them it is an extra bonus they got to beat the US for the gold also.

The wrong hire was made in the first place

He hadn’t shown me anything and still hasn’t proven to me that he should be coaching at this level.

Why can't we make Football an olympic sport

I’m tired of all these other countries having “their sport” in the Olympics. Let’s get football in so the USA can show the world what’s up.
