Where is everyone tonight?

Wow, figured a few more post.

I’m glad to finally see Motum and even Bjornstad get some playing time. Get Casto some rest and keep him more fresh.

X is definitely having a solid year.

I kinda like Motum/Bjornstad

Although we should’ve tested it against weaker opponents. But both have improved

Why is auto-refresh not woring

I have it checked. Anyone having the same issue?

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 5:58 PM PST reply actions

indeed

this site is terrible for me in IE. firefox is fine.

by BigWood on Feb 6, 2010 5:59 PM PST up reply actions

Worked

Thanks. The site was really slow for me as well on IE. Just lately as well.

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:06 PM PST up reply actions

IE is a terrible browser in most ways.

It’s not surprising that it has trouble.

by brlogan on Feb 7, 2010 8:03 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah

Looked like it. But it was such an ugly shot, the refs didn’t want to give it to him.

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 6:01 PM PST up reply actions

1-6

If you’re keeping track at home :(

by ClosetCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:07 PM PST reply actions

If you are talking Klay

His 2 3 balls looked good. The last one was on but rimmed out on him.

I say keep shooting the open looks.

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:08 PM PST up reply actions

Nice work klay.

Coast to coast is always good.

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 6:07 PM PST reply actions

We're showing a more patient offense

And more ball movement then we have recently.

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 6:10 PM PST reply actions

Check out youtube

He has some ups and some quickness. He just needs to get stronger and more confident.

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:21 PM PST up reply actions

I know

I was mainly being a little sarcastic. He just hasn’t shown us what he can do this year as he adjusts.

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 6:22 PM PST up reply actions

Yup, hopefully he sticks with it

He’s long, has long arms, has some athletic ability, and can shoot it. Hope he sticks with it and it’s good to see him get some playing time.

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:24 PM PST up reply actions

You might think I'm crazy

Cowgill was able to get a lot stronger over his 4 years even though he never put on much bulk. Hopefully the same happens with Motum. Neither really had/have the frames to get a lot bigger but stronger is another thing.

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:28 PM PST up reply actions

Agreed, I just like a cheap joke.

Cowgill was a great defender, that’s for sure.

by Coug Friendly Canuck on Feb 6, 2010 6:29 PM PST up reply actions

yeah, that was a blocking foul....

but they gave him a charge

again, i’m ok with that.

by BigWood on Feb 6, 2010 6:22 PM PST reply actions

D

Defense is looking better and we are ahead at half. Go Cougs!

by PDXCoug on Feb 6, 2010 6:23 PM PST reply actions

halftime plus/minus

Moore 10
Thompson 8
Harthun 4
Motum 2
Koprivica 0
Thames 0
Bjornstad 0
Casto -4
Watson -4
Capers -16

Half thoughts from Beasley

Gray out worked!

Motum! Bjornstad! Solid minutes by bigs I used to think weren’t ready yet.

We are a gooood ball club when we rebound well, and we’re up 19-11.

I hate Sean Miller. Practically their 6th defender as he stands out on the court. Refs, of course, could care less.

If Reggie and Klay attack the basket in the second half, and we continue to defend reasonably well, we could win this.

YEAH!!!

That was me :) So jacked right now!

by Rowsmasterflex on Feb 6, 2010 7:59 PM PST up reply actions

holy crap!

this kid was in the contest where you go layup, free throw, 3 pointer, half court. he misses like 8 free throws on a row, finally hits one, then hits the three on the first try, very next shot as time expired he nails the half court shot! the place went nuts.

by spencer peaty on Feb 6, 2010 6:35 PM PST via mobile reply actions

Nice

Tell him what he’s won!

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 6:37 PM PST up reply actions

THAT WAS ME!!!

I don’t practice free throws at the rec, plus i was nervous as hell…. The half court shot just felt perfect and BOOM! So sweet!

by Rowsmasterflex on Feb 6, 2010 7:58 PM PST up reply actions

Awesome dude.

I had two cracks at that during my time and missed the half court both times. I did dunk the ball for the layup portion though…

by Brian Floyd on Feb 6, 2010 11:32 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

So nice to see

Klay having a productive and helpful game even when not hitting from outside. Droning. Fishing.

by Pman on Feb 6, 2010 6:42 PM PST via mobile reply actions

indeed.

has played solid on-ball defense today, rebounded well, i don’t think he has any turnovers yet.

by BigWood on Feb 6, 2010 6:43 PM PST up reply actions

He has at least one turnover

Baseline pass aimed at Nik but went out of bounds. Other then that he is taking care of the ball and making good decisions.

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 6:45 PM PST up reply actions

And not hanging head.

We all need some confidence.

Get some klay

Nice block and runout

by Brian Floyd on Feb 6, 2010 7:09 PM PST via mobile reply actions

DW?

I just have a hard time with Ehlo working extra hard to prove he’s not to be called a homer announcer.

by CougM.E.93 on Feb 6, 2010 7:09 PM PST reply actions

Flagrant

That’s a play on the face, not the ball.

Ehlo needs glasses I think

by ClosetCoug on Feb 6, 2010 7:12 PM PST reply actions

I'll take it

although I don’t really agree. He was going for the ball. I wouldn’t like it if it was on us.

by BornCoug on Feb 6, 2010 7:12 PM PST up reply actions

You gotta stay on the floor there D

Can’t give up the 3 point play. A hard earned basket by UA isn’t the end of the world.

by 02Coug on Feb 6, 2010 7:14 PM PST reply actions

Finish

Please finish boys

by Brian Floyd on Feb 6, 2010 7:23 PM PST via mobile reply actions

Another weak foul

Only one on klay. Nice

by Brian Floyd on Feb 6, 2010 7:27 PM PST via mobile reply actions

Motum!

Player of the game!

Cougs pulling away

Moore is fast, I am glad he is on our team

by Coug1990 on Feb 6, 2010 7:30 PM PST reply actions

To be fair

He really, really stepped up the defense tonight, it wasn’t scarecrow reggie out there.

by ClosetCoug on Feb 6, 2010 7:35 PM PST up reply actions

I know

Was just screwing around. He has it in him. Just needed a fire lit

Kinda happy with it today

Was nice to see Motum show some potential

by Brian Floyd on Feb 6, 2010 8:09 PM PST via mobile up reply actions

Agreed

I was waiting for Motum to show some of that potential I’ve been reading about. I’m not a huge fan of Lodwick anyways. Overall, I was really pleased with the effort from everybody tonight. Maybe we should do Beasley “Gray-Outs” more often.
