Taylor Rochestie will blitzkrieg your dreipunktewettbewerb
Three-point contest, in German - in case you were wondering.
Sorry, ponytail man - better luck next year. In 2010, it's Taylor that gets the glory and a well-deserved hug from a man in a dragon suit.

He looks like one of the ball boys ;)
I am so happy to have had him at WSU for 3 years. He’s just fun to watch.
Thx for the video!

So many awesome things in that video, by the way
1. Taylor winning the contest (obviously)
2. German announcers pronouncing ‘Washington State’ with incredible accuracy. Also, something about UCLA.
3. German mascots!

I wish they had the post-contest interview.

Many Germans speak English better than a lot of Americans
I once had two German exchange students in class. One of them wrote and spoke the language leaps and bounds better than my American students. I didn’t know whether to be impressed or depressed.

Yeah. I agree.
I went on a euro-trip during the last month and a half and spent a couple weeks living with some German college students. I have also met a lot of foreign students while I have been studying in Spain. I’ve met student’s from Spain, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Russia, Greece, and Turkey, etc… and out of all of those, the Germans can speak the best English of anyone not from an English speaking country. I felt almost like I was just hanging out with American college students when I was in Berlin with these German students. One of them was even watching Dave Chapelle stand-up comedy on youtube and understand it all. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO UNDERSTAND HUMOR IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE? Super hard.

Re: UCLA
The announcer was talking about TR going nuts down at Pauley Pavilion and pretty much winning the game for us.
It’s been nearly two decades since I’ve used my German, but I could still somewhat follow what was being said.

Looks like he needed to make that last shot to win.
What a fun video – thanks.

By the way
drei punkt wettbewerb translates into “Three Point Contest”… What an ugly looking word…

The man in the dragon suit is what really puts it over the top for me
Shawn Spencer: "I’m receiving a transmission from your husband. Really more of a voicemail, if I'm being honest. A status update. Perhaps a twitter."
Burton Guster: "I believe it’s called a tweet."
Shawn Spencer: "There’s no way I’m saying that."

This is so great
Grady, did you find this after browsing youtube for hours after someone posted a link of Baynes dunking on some Lithuanian dude? I know that sent me on a tangent searching for DLow and Rochestie… I think Derrick is in France somewhere? Baynes may be in a lower league in Lithuania but the team he’s on has won some European cup a couple times in the last five years, if I read the translated version right…

Two Senseless Observations
1. Is that Satan overlooking the three point contest right before Taylor starts shooting?
2. Doesn’t pony tail man look like Paul Rudd with long hair?
