At least we get two bids
Washington wins the Pacific Life Pac-10 tournament. The tournament, in case you didn't know, decides the true champion of the Pacific-10 conference.
Except for last year, of course, where USC won the tournament title on a fluke and the regular season champion Washington Huskies were the true champion of the conference. See how that works? It's science.

I don't get it...
In your situation, the Huskies are the true champions after winning both ways. You make it seem as if these Huskies feel like entitled to something and are arrogant and annoying and, Grady., I think we all know that this is far from the truth…
Nice picture Grady!

FWIW, this Husky fan thinks the regular season champ is the true champ, and the tournament champ is the automatic qualifier. They are both good accomplishments, but the regular season championship carries a lot more weight in my book due to the season’s worth of evidence it entails. Cal was is the Pac-10 champs this year, the Huskies are the Pac-10 Tourney champs; Cal’s accomplishment carries more weight.
It's a great reason to get rid of the conference tournament.
But major conferences will never do it because it always gives them a chance to get an extra team in the tournament. I can’t, for the life of me, understand why the smaller conferences do it. I can’t imagine the money is that good, since it looks like many of them play in 3/4 empty gyms.
All of my husky friends...
… think the regular season champ is the true champ. You’ve just dealt with a couple bad apples.
