NCAA TOURNAMENT OPEN THREAD: Session 2
If you want to watch the games on CBS March Madness On Demand, click here.
One of the more realistic 13-4 upset possibilities. Bracket meeting? Murray State, present. (I stole that joke from Tony Reali. Worth it.)
Nuss' road to Vegas starts here. Don't fret, North Texas. If you lose, the Texas state board of education will just have the contest erased from the history books.
To me, Sam Houston State will always be the school that made Paul Wulff's Eastern Washington Eagles blow a 20 point lead in the fourth quarter of the 2004 I-AA playoffs. Yep, that still doesn't make me feel much better about Wulff.
Nuss likes Richmond to go to the Sweet Sixteen. I don't think they'll get out of the first round. Granted, the win over Gonzaga wasn't as impressive as you may think, but St. Mary's just shoots the lights out.

"A DAY OF SURPRISES!"
Only if you don’t actually pay attention. I’d argue RMU’s run against Nova is about the only surprising thing that’s happened this morning. And given how they finished down the stretch combined with how they played in the opener last year … it’s not like it was far fetched.
BREAKING NEWS.

I almost always do
But I’ve watched less college basketball this year than any year since I was about 16. I know less, therefore my bracket will be ok. That’s how it works.
i love it when people get a perfect bracket on the first day
they crash the hardest on day 2!
I didn't pick St. Mary's because I don't pick west coast teams playing early.
Game started later than I expected. :(
Touche
but it is eastern WA and Western ID. I heard Mark Fuhrman love’s WalMart.
"For Shizell My Mizell" - SoCalCoug
ODU killed a bracket
but I played against head coach Blaine Taylor in montana back in the day-
Happy for the guy— and could he fill it up!
If you can't Go Cougs... don't go.
Yes indeed.
And I like that they’re playing a potentially tired BYU team that already doesn’t matchup athletically.
wish I could say I was rooting for you
but that would be lying
Why does CBS assume that because I live on the west coast
I want to see a game that’s 1,000 miles away, featuring two teams from 2,000 miles away?
Thats the game on CBS in Vancouver.
I wonder why CBS thinks Seattle wants the other game…

I refuse to believe St. Mary's is this good
Richmond looks very, very average to me. This is literally the first I’ve seen of them this year.
St. Mary's isn't that good
But neither is Richmond.
St. Mary’s is just an incredible shooting team… a hard out for anyone in this tourney.
Have you ever driven a car that has the ashes of Michael Jackson's Body polished into the dashboard?
There's a luxury care with pieces of silver brushed into the wood finish
Just trying to think of something more needlessly extravagant.

The UTEP game is exciting!
I think they have a dunk coach. Unbelievable dunk!
"For Shizell My Mizell" - SoCalCoug
I guess I should have seen this coming with Richmond
They are an absolutely awful rebounding team all the time. SMC ain’t world beaters there, but certainly good enough to exploit the Spiders. How did that team win so many games?
(Maybe the A-10 isn’t as good as so many people not named Ken Pomeroy want to believe?)
The reason I didn't even consider Butler making the sweet 16. . .
. . . was because I was so close to picking UTEP.
See? “Almost called it” upsets are the trend this year.
DR% that bad is always a huge red flag for me
Don’t know why I didn’t pay more attention to it. Richmond was the one time in this bracket I listened to people like Ryan Rusillo and Jay Bilas. Stupid me.
Good news? I’ve got Nova out next round, and it’s VERY obvious that SMC will give them a better game than Richmond ever would have.
sick pass
that should count as an assist even though the shot didn’t go in
I think I hate those Bud Light commercials because of their attempt to force "here we go!" as a catch phrase.
That and the part where they pretend Bud Light is fun to drink.
