A good bracket day doesn't necessarily mean that it was a good day in terms of what you wanted to have happen. Just two games today, and this is gonna be a pretty short preview, since I'm super tired right now. First a little update on the CougCenter bracket challenge. Here's the top ten after games yesterday, with WSUScottie 2 removed.

The top ten are only separated by 60 points, which is less than one game from now on, meaning there could be some serious rankings jumbling as the tourney goes on. Craig is the only writer in the top ten, with cougfan, Grady., and Nuss all in 25th. On to the games today.
WEST REGION FINAL: 4:30 PM
#5 Butler vs. #2 Kansas State
Pretty sure you all know this, but if KSU wins this game, Nuss is packing his bags and is off to Vegas. To recap Butler's tourney thus far, they cruised by UTEP in the first round, then had two close games against Murray St. and Syracuse, winning by a total margin of 6 points in the last two games. They are playing for a trip to the final four in their hometown of Indianapolis. Kansas State cruised to victory in the first two rounds, before the double OT victory over Xavier in the Sweet Sixteen. Butler is looking for it's first final four, and KSU want their first since the Sixties. Should be a good game.
KenPom says: KSU 69-66
EAST REGION FINAL: 7:05 PM
#1 Kentucky vs. #2 West Virginia
If Kentucky loses, basically every bracket that wasn't screwed by Kansas' loss is now toast. Kentucky hasn't had a close game yet, their closest margin of victory being 17 points against sentimental favorite Cornell. West Virginia isn't quite the same story. They rolled in the first round, and then survived scares from both Mizzou and UW to finally get the victory by 9 and 13 points, respectively. This is the only 1 2 matchup in the entire tournament.
KenPom says: Wildcats 67-65
Well if KenPom is correct, total margin of victory today should be 5 points. Looks like we are gonna have some great tournament action. Only 7 games left!
