Cougs had 2nd and 3rd 1 out in the top of the 9th and didn’t score. Tied up going to the bottom

Don't let cougfan hear you

I think he’s got a chip on his shoulder about people comparing Butler to the Hoosiers

by Couginthepink on Apr 3, 2010 3:51 PM PDT up reply actions

Just out of curiosity

Did anybody see the Daily Show with the guy in Georgia starting an all-white basketball league?

by Couginthepink on Apr 3, 2010 3:50 PM PDT reply actions

Yep

And for those that didn’t, here. Brilliant

by Brian Floyd on Apr 3, 2010 3:52 PM PDT up reply actions

I was so uncomfortable but laughing so hard

I like that he admits that white people need their own league because they are decidedly lame

wooooooooo

Let’s play again, shall we?

by Brian Floyd on Apr 3, 2010 4:29 PM PDT via mobile up reply actions

Psh.

This is the real life Hoosiers. There is no athleticism!

by philkid3 on Apr 3, 2010 4:41 PM PDT up reply actions

I don't mean to alarm anyone

but I don’t think Butler’s had five passes on any possession in this game

by BigWood on Apr 3, 2010 4:43 PM PDT up reply actions

The 1954 Milan Miracle team was actually really athletic.

Their state title game was on one of the several special edition DVD’s of Hoosiers I’ve owned and Plump and the other guard took guys to the rim off the bounce all game long.

by Coug Friendly Canuck on Apr 3, 2010 4:44 PM PDT up reply actions

Butler is in MSU's head

And I would not have predicted that. Even with a calm and collected coach, I didn’t think the Indiana boys would stay calm and collected in the final four against an Izzo coached team.

Dear Miller Lite

There are a lot of things I like more than Miller Light.

Stopping at women is like making a list of things better than castration that looks like this:

Both wv and duke fans starting to adopt butler.

by philkid3 on Apr 3, 2010 5:07 PM PDT reply actions

That had to be expected

I would have thought Duke and WVU fans would have entered the stadium cheering for Butler. Home team, the mid major Cinderella, and the Hoosiers thing that isn’t really true.

by 02Coug on Apr 3, 2010 5:09 PM PDT up reply actions

fantastic

my wife is now online trying to buy a bulldog after that shot.

i’m sending the bill to you, KIRO!!!!

GREAT D

Great no call. Pac 10 refs would have blown that.

Im in a bar

Why did Izzo explode

by Brian Floyd on Apr 3, 2010 5:26 PM PDT via mobile reply actions

He didn't want a TO

Or that’s what they are saying. And he thought the clock started early, which it didn’t

Cougar Baseball Beats Huskies in Extra Innings

Shea Vucinich’s sacrifice fly in top of the 12th inning lifted Washington State to a 6-5 win over Washington in game one of a Pacific-10 Conference doubleheader, Saturday at Husky Ballpark.

Ichiro and Jr. commercial

Great commercial, my favorite this season and maybe all time

by defunkmusic on Apr 3, 2010 7:08 PM PDT reply actions

Sooooooooo. . .

A team that ranked 162nd in eFG% now has to come back from 14 points down with just under 12 to go against one of the best defenses in the country.

Good luck with that.

by philkid3 on Apr 3, 2010 7:42 PM PDT reply actions

Go Cougs?

We get the tying run on 2nd with no outs and fail to bring him in….and we get the bottom of the order in the 9th. Whee!

by BigWood on Apr 3, 2010 7:49 PM PDT reply actions

The score of this game

stays just wide enough to not be interesting.

Butlers knee collapsed. Looked as bad as it can look.

by philkid3 on Apr 3, 2010 7:53 PM PDT reply actions

True, but ...

They definitely looked like they weren’t elite during the nonconference portion of their schedule. Also, I believe they were rated in the 20s by Kenpom before this tournament started. Maybe everyone was right early on about how good this team could be, but let’s not revise history.

by Jeff Nusser on Apr 3, 2010 8:17 PM PDT up reply actions

No, it's not.

But Hoosiers wasn’t even Hoosiers. That team destroyed all its competition back in ’54. They were more or less like this Butler team – an underdog in perception only.

by Jeff Nusser on Apr 3, 2010 8:37 PM PDT up reply actions

So that wins me most of my pools.

I believe in all but Beyond the Boxscore’s (which had a weird scoring system), I have at least a shot at second place. There’s only one left that I haven’t won but still can win.

Basically, pools where other people picked Duke I can’t win, save for one example where the only other guy to pick Duke sucked otherwise.

by philkid3 on Apr 3, 2010 8:33 PM PDT reply actions

You're right, it's 3rd.

For a while, the top two have been Scottie’s two brackets, so I just assumed without checking that was still the case.
