The football team was back in action yesterday, hitting the halfway point of spring practices. This weekend includes the second spring scrimmage and a baseball series against top ranked Arizona State. It's also Mom's Weekend in Pullman, making for an exciting weekend full of events.

WSU heads indoors as spring hits midpoint - SportsLink - Spokesman.com - April 8, 2010
Grippi has his usual practice report from Thursday. Some things to note: the Cougs only had two healthy running backs, Wolfgramm is looking better, and Wulff singles out the play of a few guys. -
Mom's weekend packed at WSU - SportsLink - Spokesman.com - April 9, 2010
Grippi also had his morning news and notes today. He looks around the Pac-10 and finds that Matt Barkley is shrinking, Clarence Trent played one day in pads and gave up football, and Oregon's coaching search is still making people rich....but not in the way they hoped. -
Cougar Baseball Hosts Top-Ranked Arizona State - WASHINGTON STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE
Baseball takes on top-ranked ASU this weekend in Pullman (weather permitting). It's also Mom's Weekend, so they should get some nice crowds. ASU has only lost one game, an extra innings thriller in Oregon. If the Cougs can make a statement this weekend, it'd be huge going forward. -
Bigger shoes than you think: Washington State - Pac-10 Blog - ESPN
Ted Miller details the loss of a defensive starter to graduation being bigger than you'd think. It surprised me, but that's the whole point of the post, so well done Ted. -
The Daily Evergreen Online - Arnold gives Cougars an edge
The Daily Evergreen has a story on Chad Arnold, who once again is a bright spot for the Cougs. Arnold has upped his production this year and has been throwing well.
That's it for the links. There should be a baseball preview/recap of what we've missed shortly. After the jump, some video of the football team practicing in the bubble yesterday.
