Rivals.com College Football - Exclusive: Pac-10 set to invite six from Big 12
I'll be frank: I don't believe this to be true. Or, at the very least, this is incredibly premature. Why? Because of all the well-connected Pac-10 writers out there, a non-Pac-10 guy breaks this with Pac-10 sources?
Maybe it turns out to be true. But I'm highly skeptical. Discuss away.

Yikes……hold on to your hat, eh?
The ‘Colossal 16’ would be bigger than anyone else on the block and truly command top dollar. Since this is where College Athletics appears to be headed, we may as well get there first.
Doubt it will happen
It would be kind of cool if it did, but this just seems to be a lot of talk right now. If the Pac-10 does expand I have a feeling it will be only 2 schools.
Also, the article kept calling it the Big 16….if the Pac-10 is offering the 6 schools to join them why would they keep part of the Big 12 name and do away with the Pac-10 or Pac-16 or whatever?
One more thing, how would expansion of any kind affect Washington State? We already know that expansion will not happen unless it helps all universities financially, but how will this affect Washington State competitively?

…so no big change there. We could use that TV money though!
