For the 4th time!
Put an iron to that sheet!

next time you're in Pullman
you should storm into the Athletic Dep’t with an iron in hand and rip that thing off the wall, iron it up to a nice sheen, throw it back up and walk out.
That's a great idea.
It could start a tradition. It could also be the turning point in the program. “The Day the Iron Came Out.”

Don McLean parody song
“the day, the wrinkly curtain died”
They need to
staple it tight to a huge piece of plywood and lean it against the wall. Not that hard.
Cougar999 version 2.0. Now with a shorter name!
Doesn't make me feel better
But his comment about his EWU team losing by two to Erickson’s 11-1 OSU team – a veteran team – is a good one, and it probably didn’t sit well with OSU fans at the time.
I think we’re all so frustrated sometimes we lose a bit of perspective.
But we need to see some improvement.
It drives me nuts how he stares at the microphone
But thank god its there, otherwise there’s no way we’d hear him. Have more confidence Wulff! Look up when you talk and speak with some more authority! Your the head coach for crying out loud! Instill some confidence in the fans, because the performance on the field hasn’t been doing it lately.
I still believe you can pull this team through it, but you have to make other people believe it by acting the role!
I was thinking the same thing
but I don’t think there is a ton of people in this interview. I think it is pretty nonchalant, that is why it comes off that way.

Yeah, pressers are not his strong point
But he’s definitely gotten better, both at these and at public speaking events. It’s strange, because if you spend 20 minutes talking to this guy you definitely leave pumped up. Just fun to talk to. Wish that’d transfer over to venues like this.
Luckily he’s good with recruits & their parents, which is definitely more important if I had to choose.
I was excited
to see Wulff defend himself and the team. I have to say he had some good points. Maybe, that is why he is a good recruiter. He also seemed to get a little fired up during the explanation and during the Mizell part. I hope he shows a little more fire as the season progresses.

I want to see CPW succeed so badly
I just sucks that the level of professionalism and knowledge of football he has (or so I can deduce from the video) doesn’t equate to what shows up on saturdays. I want the Cougs to be collecting W’s and have him at the helm, I just hope it works out in that respect…
Wulff showing some level of excitement on the field instead of being stoic all the time wouldn’t be so bad. Maybe’s he’s due an Akey mustache to fire him up!
Maybe all he needs is a mustache
that would automatically give him BA status. Look at Fresno State’s Pat Hill…BA.
I am not messing with that dude.

He did his best Brandon Rankin during the game.
You know. Looking at the crowd and waving your arms up and down as much as possible.

What I don't get
is how CPW coached a EWU program into some close games or even steamrolling FBS opponents, and yet when on the other side of that equation, it seems like he loses his mind.
Now, I’m not ignoring what he said about maturity, I agree 100% with that, but to coach a FCS team through that, you have to be a pretty damn good all around coach. I don’t buy the FBS v FCS coaching difference, football is football.
Things like clock management, game planning, and motivational abilities are just as critical in the FCS as they are in any other level. So whats up? Is it simply that he is coaching scared on game day? Can he not handle the spotlight of the PAC-10?
Those are some really valid questions
To which I have no answers. But if he loses his job at the end of the year, you can be almost certain that it’s because someone decided the answer to both is “yes.” Because he does literally everything else a coach is supposed to do well.
What I really hate about these press conference videos
Why do they have to show the questions on the screen? Its hard to follow along just listening with the video in the background.
