AUDIO: CougCenter Podcast, Episode 36 - Was WSU Unprepared At Oklahoma State?
Back to the three-person "booth" so to speak, as Craig, Brian and I got together to talk about Okie State and Montana State. Among the topics discussed: Were the Cougs unprepared? Where’s the no-huddle offense been? What do we want to see out of the Montana State game?

Arlo’s the man. If I could get the radio and video to sync up, that’s what I would do. But that’s pretty much impossible when watching online.
I ended up with ESPN jokers anyway
Like you, I end up giving up trying to sync the feeds. It’s nice that KIRO radio streams to the web, but I end up frustrated and just deal with ESPN.
Still, better than the jokers that Fox Soccer Channel use.
ObOnTopic: I listened to the podcast after the game. Good stuff, helped me feel better about the game tomorrow.
I hope to spend as little time sitting in my cold aluminum seat as I can; I want this team to keep me on my feet.

That should happen once I'm done with this night job
His schedule and mine have not jived for months.
I was thinking of jazzing it up a little
Something like Grady!
Pete Carroll would approve. Exclamation points WIN FOREVER.

You could take the Dan Gilbert approach
and write your name in Comic Sans.
Cougar999 version 2.0. Now with a shorter name!
SBN scientists are still working on the Comic Sans technology
We hope to be able to use it in 2014.

But we're all gonna be dead in 2012!
Tell them to hurry!

I guess since he majored in Computer Science
you could call Brian an SBN scientist

Doesn't count on my book.
Unless you count a social science class as a “science” class.

Also, the podcast definitely wasn't awkward enough
I’ll hopefully be back to fix that soon.

Jeff should do a CougCenter outtakes
Because there was definitely one in this podcast. My mic was so good it picked up the raging waterfall (roommate washing dishes) in the background.

I used to save outtake clips
I actually have some, I think. But I didn’t clip that one, unfortunately. It’s actually more time consuming than you think to put that into a new audio file and save it with the other ones, etc.
OK, I’m done making excuses now.
By the way, I was just glad I was able to cleanly edit that out
Sometimes, it’s not so easy.
(COUGH – GRADY’S TYPING – COUGH)
Gonzaga Prep is on KHQ in Spokane
Their quarterback is injured and Sankey is taking the snaps. The kid can move. He gets low when he runs and sees the field well. I forgot how much of high school football is kids falling down.
Brian's breakdown of our defensive woes
Makes more sense to me than any other that I’ve heard.

That's because he actually, you know, pays attention
And also watches the game more than once. Imagine that.
By the way, not trying to belittle anyone
It’s just sometimes with football the nuances don’t come through until a second watching because there is too much going on to properly digest it all. To really understand it, you’ve got to do more than follow the ball, which is all TV does and really all you can do the first time.
I believe NFL films once did a piece on this very thing
where they followed Joe and the magic bean
Regarding the defense...
…I have to say I was expecting the DL, specifically the DEs to be way more disruptive. I have a tough time believing that the offensive lines the cougs will face will get much easier. Four new lineman on OSU, and it seemed Long and Kooyman were stuck in cement. I was expecting Long and Kooyman to get into the backfield and at the very least slow down Hunter and Weeden.
I realize it’s early, but I’m starting to think these guys are Braidwood and Mullenix reincarnated. Just two average defensive ends.
You do remember that Travis Long is a true sophomore, right?

And played the worst game I've seen him play.
I feel it’s more an anomaly than the norm.
