Random basketball tidbit I'm not sure anyone else saw

So recently my girlfriend has learned to operate the DVR we have in our apartment, so now amidst all the recorded Cougar Football games, Mythbusters, Daily Show, etc. there are a couple shows I've never seen that she enjoys. As we both are looking for new shows to watch together, I've recently become hooked to one of her favorites, 'How I met Your Mother'. It's pretty funny, and we burned through the first 5 seasons pretty quick (I know it's been around since 2005 but hey, the magic of a DVR is a new thing for me).

I noticed something cool though during one particular episode titled "The Bracket". During the episode the guys steal a blackboard from a kindergarten class that they eventually use to make a "bracket" of women whom Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) has slept with and wronged. Before they make this 64-women bracket there's a scene where a March Madness bracket was filled out. I checked the preview I noticed the original air date was 3/31/2008, so I started looking for good ol' Wazzu while reliving some good memories of Baynes, Weaver, Cowgill, Low, Rochestie... sure enough, in a couple of close up shots you can see they have "Wash St." in the South bracket. I'm assuming they filmed the episode before Selection Sunday because the brackets are all messed up for that year.

They had Wazzu beating (unreadable, need the episode in HD!) in the round of 64, then beating Wisconsin in the round of 32. That's pretty sweet, I couldn't see the rest of the board so I pointed it out to my GF and we had a good sigh, then later in the scene you get some looks at the whole board. Imagine my surprise as they had us also beating Texas in the Sweet Sixteen, then beating Vanderbilt in the Elite Eight (sweet revenge!), moving on to the Final Four with UCLA/Duke on one side and Wazzu/Gonzaga on the other. The board had us beating Gonzaga, making the title game and then beating UCLA in the finals to win the National Championship.

Nice to see we were highly thought of at one point.
