It's hard to believe this season is two-thirds over. It seems like just yesterday that WSU was annihilating both Idaho State and UNLV, and visions of bowl games were dancing in our heads. Four consecutive losses later, the Cougars need three wins in their final four games to get to the postseason.
It's unlikely, we'll all agree. But you never know.
One link you won't see above is Craig's preview of Cal. Do yourself a favor and read it if you haven't yet -- it'll prepare you for how hard it's going to be for the WSU offense to move the ball against Cal, and maybe you won't be totally mad if it doesn't happen.
Also, pray for lots and lots of Zach Maynard turnovers.

but yeah, it’s one of the challenges in the Journal. Took me like 3 days. You have to shoot the cougar in the legs or body in Dead Eye, but don’t kill it. It’ll sulk away slowly, hurt. Then you chuck dynamite at it. You have to do it twice (not get 2 cougars at once). So hard

Further evidence I am cursed as a sports fan.
Went to the UVM Men’s soccer conference tournament game today. UVM scored with 85th minute left to go up 2-1. They ended up losing 3-2 on a diving save attempt by the goalie that bounced off a defender directly back into the goal in the 89th minute.

There’s really nothing else good in Detroit, generally speaking. The steakhouse isn’t really that good, but it’s about average for steakhouses in major cities. Nothing special. He's Alabama's DC
he just got a raise to like 700k or so (from like 315k), is only 36, and has had one of the best defenses in the nation the past few years. I’m just sayin’, the “who out there is better than Wulff” argument is dumb because I can name a lot of guys. Smart is at the top of my list.

And after the game CPW would talk about youth, missing Tuel, and how he saw some good things out there but The World just played really well.
I haven't really seen much of it.

Let alone the “Casey Locker is evil” letter and personal foul that wasn’t (and then improperly enforced)… they have barely been spotting the ball correctly, if anything. Not just our game (and not just against the Cougs). The F-ups in the OSU-Furd game were epic by themselves.
I think, in addition to making conclusions about this Cougar staff, we can draw some conclusions about the work Larry Scott has done in supposedly improving the officiating in this league. To use a dumb cliche, it is full of FAIL.
I can’t stand watching the games, even the ones I don’t care about, because some random officiating decision will kill a drive or a play, or a game. As fans, we deserve better.
Mad as hell and too sad to talk about anything else.

Take away all the ‘targetting’ calls and they are much better than the past. When did they ever spot the ball well?
Now all we need to do is get Mr Scott to talk to them about the rule. I’ll put money on it the are following direction here or it would have stopped weeks ago. But it hasn’t

I can understand holding coaches to a standard, but I don’t recall him ever saying during those statements that the officiating needs to change.

Last year we played No. 12 Stanford on the road and lost by 10.
Then got stomped 42-0 in Tempe by a mediocre Arizona State. This year, we played No.7 Oregon on the road and lost by 15 and are about to get stomped by a mediocre Cal. I LOVE IT!
Don't forget we played pretty well against Stanford

I wasn’t too impressed with the Stanford game this year. I was much more excited about dominating Oregon AT Autzen in yards, first downs, time of possession, etc. Moral victories and being competitive only go so far, but that was definitely a losing effort I was still proud of (aside from special teams).
