Welcome to National Signing Day 2011! We've got a huge day lined up for you here as the WSU Cougars are expected to receive national letters of intent from at least 20 high school seniors. (I believe all the junior college kids have already faxed theirs in, as their signing period began Dec. 15.)
There's not expected to be a lot of drama today, but we all know how that goes -- as the day unfolded last year, we wondered why Maxx Forde's letter wasn't in, then started to hear rumblings about an unknown linebacker who might end up being a surprise signing. Forde ended up at Idaho, and the mystery player ended up being C.J. Mizell.
Could there be more surprises in store today? Stick with us to find out.
Starting at about 7:30 a.m., the Cover It Live chat will begin below. There, we'll pass along news as it breaks -- including each letter as it rolls in -- and you can ask the authors questions about the players in the class. If you just want to chat about the players and the class with each other, do that down in the comments.
Below is an embedded spreadsheet with each verbal commit to the class with all kinds of information on each. In the column that says "LOI?" we'll let you know when the player's letter is received. If there's a decommit tomorrow, you'll see that too. The embedded box is a little small -- if you want a full-page view, I recommend opening this in a separate tab. You'll have to refresh it occasionally to have the most up-to-date information.
After the jump, you'll find another embedded spreadsheet with everything we could find on each player, from stories to videos, so you don't have to just take our opinions -- you can make your own. I've also embedded the recruiting map after the jump so you can see where our recruits are coming from.
Lastly, we'll hit you up with any breaking, unexpected news with separate posts.
Whew. Ready to start this thing?
Here you'll find all video and other media we've been able to dig up on each recruit. You can view the full-size spreadsheet in its own window here.
