On Oscar night, the best performances belonged to Klay Thompson and DeAngelo Casto.

The best picture? The Cougars winning 80-69 at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Thompson scored 26 and Casto hit another double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds as the Cougars held off a frantic Husky run in the final minutes of the game.

Washington was led by 21 from Isaiah Thomas.

The Cougs led by as much as 21 before a flurry of Husky threes and free throws cut the lead to as little as six with 4:04 to play. However, the Cougs locked down on defense down the stretch, and buried their free throws to silence the Husky crowd and snuff out any possibility of a comeback.

The final score doesn't show just how different the two halves were tonight. WSU outscored the Huskies 24-17 in the first half. The second half? A barnburning 56-52 result in favor of the Cougars.

Best Actor: DeAngelo Casto. 20 points on 6 of 10 shooting, including 8 of 8 (!) from the free throw line. He added 13 rebounds (4 offensive) and 2 steals.

Best Supporting Actor: Klay Thompson. 26 points on 5 of 13 shooting (13 of 14 at the line), 3 rebounds, 3 assists.

Best Director: Reggie Moore. 10 points and a team-leading 4 assists.

Best Foreign Film: Brock Motum. 8 points on 4 of 7 shooting, 3 rebounds.

Best Visual Effects: Reggie Moore's drive and dish to DeAngelo Casto with the shot clock winding down, and 7:28 left on the clock.

It was over when... DeAngelo Casto's putback made it 69-59 with 2:55 to play.

Stat of the Game: WSU was 32 for 36 from the free throw line.
