The end of the season is in sight and you have an important decision to make...to go, or not to go. I have some advice, but must say from the outset that my motives are purely selfish. I am a middle-aged desk jockey with a family, a mortgage, and a job that comes with more than it's fair share of stress. My prime, which was never too prime, is but a distant memory. Consequently, sports are a vicarious experience, but an experience that is a big part of my life, nonetheless. I am passionate about 2 sports, Cougar basketball and Cougar football. When the Cougs have a good weekend, I come to work with a bounce in my step, ready to take on the world, When the Cougs have a bad weekend, I come in with my butt a-draggin'. But even when we have a bad weekend, I can always find some solace in Coug players like yourself. Your presence on our roster brings some notoriety to our program, and even more importantly, gives Coug fans hope. You are going to have the opportunity to make a lot of money playing basketball. I truly believe you will have a long and prosperous career. However, you have only 4 years to don a Cougar jersey. I hope you wear it another year, if for no other reason than to give an old jock a reason for hope, a reason for pride, a reason for looking forward to the weekend. Whatever you decide, this Coug fan will always cheer for you, and regardless of the game, I'll be yelling, "Go Cougs!"
